Sleeth has always lived in the wasteland. As far as she is concerned, she is the wasteland, the Abiding Boneyard as much of a part of her as the bones in her body and the air in her lungs. The Wyrmwound is her blood and the Plaguebringer is her life, the call of survival echoing in every corner of her mind as she rallies up her followers and presses them forward against the neverending gauntlet that is Her glory. It’s how she was raised and how she has lived since she first poked a her snout into the acrid air of her homeland, and she’ll die before she turns her back on the horrors of the Contagion and beyond.

Taken as an egg by a somewhat unscrupulous (but ultimately well-intended) Plague cult, Sleeth was raised with the Mother’s word preached at her from sun-up to sun-down. Despite what outsiders may think at first glance--beholding a scarred, bloody dragon decorated in bone and tatters--it was an honest living of hard work, determination, and cooperation that laid the foundation for a natural-born leader. Death, murder, and warfare may be common stereotypes for the typical Plague dragon, but Sleeth remembers less about battle and more about the hunt, of digging for water, of teaching hatchlings, of making use of every scrap of bone and driftwood she was lucky enough to stumble across. Shadow dragons, in her opinion, are far more threatening than a follower of the Plaguebringer, what with their trickery and evasiveness.

She’s just trying to survive.

Having strayed from the cult to found her own clan, Sleeth’s current following is a rather eclectic group of both devotees and stragglers who have latched onto her out of pure necessity, following her as she paves her own way across the Scarred Wasteland in hopes of reaching the Wyrmwound and whatever the Plague equivalent of “enlightenment” happens to be. They rely on her more than she relies on them, even her mate begrudgingly admitting that she is the brains, brawn, and backbone of their operation. It’s a series of titles she takes quite seriously, and it is not lost on her that her fellow pilgrims and drifters need her in order to survive. As such, she’s more than a little overprotective, as well as stern, logical, and savage in such a manner that it grants her a tactical advantage.

More than anything, though, she values herself as a mother. From her very own hatchlings to an adopted son that towers over her, she is a steadfast provider and protector, taking great pride in the accomplishments of her children. The only way to infuriate her more than underestimating her intelligence or taunting her for her lack of eloquence and her disjointed, stilted speech is to insult one of her offspring. If one ever felt the need to pick a fight with her, there is no more surefire way...
