Biography
A carpenter's apprentice before he ventured into the world in search of inspiration, Tarragon found it in the bird-shaped kite being built by Verbena, and in the beautiful guardian fashioning it.
He stopped to offer his opinion on the woods she was using, and soon the two were deep in conversation, moving from simple kites to a flying platform like several other wind clans had been working on. Within the week, Tarragon had moved into the clan lair and was working with Verbena full time.
Like any craftsman of the Plateau, Tarragon found he couldn't focus on just one project at a time. So he set about fashioning nesting beds that would protect eggs on the ship even in turbulence, hatchling toys, and decorative sculptures for the lair or trade.
Soon he realized he his urge to carve Verbena out of wood was more than simple appreciation of her form. He wanted to capture her personality in the wood as well. When the kite-ship hung, complete, on the winds of the Plateau, he admitted his affection, and she returned it.
With Verbena as his muse, and the help of both his wife and Caranthir, Tarragon has crafted numerous inventions over the years amusing both outsiders and himself in how he's become more of a Wind craftsman since his arrival, and his wife has become more single minded instead.
Thyme the Longneck Mender
Loyal traveling companion of Tarragon's from his journeyman days. The Longneck first traveled with the guardian as part of a traveller's agreement, defense for healing if anything happened, but soon realized craftsdragons require minders to tell them to sleep and find food when they're in the grip of inspiration.
Not to mention, there are only so many splinters, accidents with a hammer, or accidental poking of fingers with needles that a dragon can suffer before requiring the help of a medic to clean the claws or sooth the pain.
