Laranja expected a class of similarly minded students when she was invited to train under Folia. She looked forward to seeing her new peers, all as focused on learning and talented as she was. That dream was shattered the moment she met Novella and Hace. Unlike the perfectionist skydancer, the two apprentices were more focused on making friends with the ghosts then sending them back to the afterlife.
Laranja was born in the Forum of the Obscured Crescent. As a hatchling she was dipped in the divination pool, granting her the ability to communicate with spirits. Her family raised her under the rules of the Society of Souls, before eventually sending her away to work under Folia. Laranja is dedicated to her studies; she wants to prove that she was worthy of receiving her gifts.
