Biography
Ruby. priestess of the Barbvine Clan. Bold and brash and unafraid to state that which she sees to be true.
She considers herself to be one of the closest devotees of the Plaguebringer in the entire clan, if not the closest after her 'good friend', the leader of the clan, Thistle.

Thistle nuzzles against her side, insistently. Ruby pushes him away, her eyes narrowing behind her headdress. In response, the mirror huffs in irritation, and goes off to find entertainment elsewhere. She sighs, irritated, and knows that he'll be back later, apologising, and she will apologise too.
For now, though, it is time for communion.
She crumbles the crushed husks of beetles into the cauldron, the depths of which she knows there boils a skulls worth of the Wyrmwound's poison. A result of a pilgrimage, of muttering prayers and dipping the skull of a preyanimal into the boiling, sacred liquid, and taking it back with the Plaguemothers blessing.
It is Ruby's pride and joy. She sees it as the pinnacle of her career, the centre of their clan. All her eggs have hatched beside its glow, and further will still.
As the beetle husks fizz, she inhales the scent deeply, eyes rolling back. They say that the Tidelord gave visions to his faithful-- Ruby is sure that the visions the Plaguemother bestows upon her are just as vivid. Just as reliable.
She sees the clan bursting forth in activity once more, guided once again by the hand of the Plaguemother, after eight years of inactivity. The same vision as she beheld mere weeks ago, she thinks, and this time it continues. Dragons, each of them bearing the crossed thorns of the Barbvine clan, fighting the Plaguebringer's enemies, bringing joy to their deity and to their clan.
The vision ends. Serendipity assured once more, Ruby turns away from the cauldron.
She should find Thistle.
