Biography
Backstory: Neo’s parents, Galahad and Alara were master sorcerers of the dark arts and crafts. They were hailed as heroes in the Tangled Woods. However, the two lovers developed a potion that could supposedly kill any of the dragon deities in Sornieth. This naturally got the attention of all the dragon deities. The Shadowerbinder stopped supporting Galahad and Alara and gladly gave the lovers to her brothers and sisters. The gods decided to kill Galahad and Alara and burned all of the documents mentioning the death potion. Even the Earthshaker supported the document burning because the fear of death ran deep within all of the gods (with the exception of the Plaguebringer although the gods made sure to keep the death potion a secret from her). The gods even went on to kill some of Alara’s and Galahad’s children in order to completely burry the knowledge of the death potion. Now, some of Neo’s half brothers and sisters fled from Sornieth after Alara and Galahad’s execution, but most children of the sorcerers were not as fortunate. Neo was going to be killed as well, but the Gladekeeper vouched for Neo. The goddess believed that Neo shouldn’t be punished for his parent’s crimes and since he was a hatchling, he couldn’t possibly know or remember how to make the death potion. Thankfully, the other gods begrudgingly agreed to let Neo live, but under one condition: the Gladekeeper would have to watch Neo very closely and make sure he never dared to do as much as stir a caldron. From that day on, Neo lived in the Behemoth with the Gladekeeper. The Gladekeeper was like a mother to Neo. For this reason, the nocturne dragon gladly joined her standing army. Although, there wasn’t much of need for this army until the day a small group of Plaguebringer worshippers attacked the Gladekeeper‘s borders. Neo and several other loyal followers of the Gladekeeper went to chase out the invaders and heal the plants with the special powers the Gladekeeper had bestowed upon them. The Gladekeeper had told Neo that all the dragons who worshipped the Plaguebringer looked hideous because they had been exposed to so many diaseases. So when Neo encountered Umira, one of the Plaguebringer’s most deadly assasins for the first time, the nocturne dragon froze. Umira was the most beautiful dragon he had ever seen. Meanwhile, Umira almost stabbed Neo as he was staring at her. Fortunately, one of Neo’s allies pushed him out of harm’s way. Neo instantly snapped back into action and fought against Umira. Umira was winning the battle against Neo, until own of her sisters stabbed Umira from behind. Neo was very confused, but once Umira hit the ground, Neo had to help his allies take on other Plaguebringer followers. A hour or so later, Neo and his allies drove out the worshippers of the Plaguebringer. Neo and his allies decided to report back to the Behemoth. On the way, however, Neo found Umira. Umira’s own sisters had torn apart her wings with their claws and left bloody slash marks all over her body. One of Neo’s companions told the nocturne to leave the guardian dragon there. Although, Neo couldn’t. The Gladekeeper had given him the power to heal and share the blessing of life. So Neo healed Umira. He told his allies that they needed to question her and learn why worshippers of the Plaguebringer had attacked. Umira was held in a prison by the Behemoth. Neo brought Umira’s breakfast to her cell each day. The nocturne dragon was sup post to be questioning Umira, but Neo had begun to fall in love with Umira. The Gladekeeper secretly planned to have Umira killed after her questioning so Neo dragged out Umira’s interrogation. Gradually the Umira fell in love with Neo too. When the day came for Umira’s execution, Neo helped Umira escape the Gladekeeper’s territory. However, Umira couldn’t go back to the Plaguebringer nor could Neo return to the Gladekeeper because they both had fallen in love with an enemy of their goddesses. Both the Plaguebringer and the Gladekeeper sent soldiers after the two dragons. Umira and Neo lived on the run until Nira and Olivia found the reckless lovers. Nira and Olivia had heard their story and happily offered them refuge within their clan.
