Months ago, a skydancer arrived in our lair. His arrival was not predicted or recorded, and no prior records show he has been here before. Much of the lair seems to believe he has always been here, stating that I lost a record, but I know that is not the case. What his intentions are, I do not know, but I will find out, no matter how it may stain my reputation. He seems entirely mute, never having made a sound, and yet most seem to 'converse' with him easily, despite him not using any matter at all to communicate. Those who have 'conversed' with him insist that he spoke aloud. For some reason, I am able to see past whatever enchantments he has placed upon the lair, though this also results in an inability for the two of us to communicate efficiently. I have learned from others that he calls himself 'Ralin', and when asked 'where he has been', no answer is given. This does not seem odd or at all suspicious to the other residents of the lair. As far as the population of Noctiluca is concerned, 'Ralin' is simply an old friend.
