They hadn't meant to venture to the Forbidden Portal. But that day, they felt something pulling them there. The Violets knew they stood no chance against the hordes there, but they went anyways. There were no battles that day. The hordes of monsters swarming the portal had stopped, entranced by something resting on top of the portal.
Erythrina stared down at the fighters once they arrived, unbothered by the beasts around her. She didn't look the fighting type, thin and frail. Despite this, she seemed almost disappointed by what she saw in both the Violets and their potential opponents.
Iris was immediately taken by this strange and distant dragon, flying up to greet her. Snapped out of their trance, the beastclans began to attack once again, and The Violets were forced to flee, the strange dragon following them.
She settled into Noctiluca, deciding Iris was decent company, and stayed with her, the two eventually becoming partners.
Nobody has since learned why she stood atop the portal.
