Biography

Mint stained female Coatl goes to Rosewing on a Lightning nest

large.jpg

He shone like the sun’s gentle kiss upon the sky in the deep hues of the retreating light. Wings donning jewels and intricate gold that clung to his body as he skimmed across the thinning clouds and hummed melodies lost to the rush of wind upon his ears.

He bathed in the smoky plumes of the clouds, as he pierced through he watched the trailing remnants slither from his outstretched limbs and back into the darkening void above him. Those with keen gazes cast upwards could catch a glimpse of his shimmering visage, a star that shone large and breezed by. Rumour grew of a mythical creature that grew bigger with every star consumed. Dusk knew himself to be no star, but his curious interest in the development of stories had him reluctant to dispel any accidental illusion he may have cast.

When the sun began to rise from slumber, Dusk would begin to lower himself from the skies to rest. He preferred to keep from others, hiding himself away in the thickest parts of the snowy tundra. The gladebough mantle upon his collar kept him warm, resting his once airborne body in preparation to soar the skies again.

His fascination with the skies did not end, even in slumber. Visions of a rare time in which day and night become equal. The feline stretch of the sun’s smothering warmth clashing with the lunar chill of night. And borne of its centre breathed the creature who encompassed both. In the depth of his dreams he watched her encapsulate the moon and stars and warmed them with the sun’s beaming effulgence.

She was the equinox. The harmonious greeting seen only before in morphean imagery. She was everything Dusk could have imagined. And after countless flights from dusk to dawn in frantic search of her, he was met with a brilliance burned into his memories forever.

She looked as he. A blurring blend of hues to mimic the skies, her body stained with the lingering darkness of the moon, wings outstretched and catching the sun, glimmering beads caught within the beams and shimmering just as Dusk’s own did. The Equinox moved as if a blurred vision, skirting the corner of his gaze and calling him further. But each time he found himself waking from his slumber, longing still to find her. What had started as a mere game became the feverish need to find the dream in which he could not stand to tear his mind from.

And whilst he ventured the eternal reaches of the skies, in the far distance, sat Equinox. She waited in a state of constant curiosity to see if he could one day locate her, gazing out, wings beginning to in the sparse laps of wind. She could only ever reach him in sleep. Where her powers would crawl across the stars like roots and wait. A spider web of magic, feeling the pull and snap of her intricately laced design. He had caught her interest, and as he flew she felt the tug of her powers to him.

She hoped to see him, soon.
