Iochroma

Formerly a dragon who was lost to the ranks of those called the Unknown, Iochroma was stripped of any name, free will, or meaning at a very young age, perhaps even before she was born. Both parents allegedly having been dragons who were creatures with little sense of self, reduced to servants, Iochroma was delegated to a similar fate, until she was found within the Tangled Wood as an adult by the Shadow Ambassador from Nature, Phlox, and the Arcane Ambassador, Carnation. While the Unknown dragon fought to avoid being taken from the cryptic masters she served, she was eventually exhausted of strength and dragged back to the Viridian Labyrinth, where the effort of many Light dragons within the clan eventually restored her Truth, returning her sense of self and meaning.

Despite having been returned to a normal dragon, Iochroma had never possessed a true name. Hence the clan gave her a name, and took her as their own. Iochroma, with her newfound freedom, is shown to be clever, yet very cautious and wary of strangers. With almost a sort of sixth sense, she can detect danger or threats long before they appear, as though she has developed an instinct for recognizing something wrong. Because of this, she has become an invaluable companion for the Shadow Ambassador, and the Light Ambassador seeking to explore the Hewn City, where a strange shadow looms. Perhaps it is because Iochroma's being has been saturated with darkness, even beyond a normal Shadow dragon, that she has so well learned to recognize vile energies.

Despite her fear and caution, Iochroma's quick wit and ingenious ideas would leave someone shocked to think that previously she was incapable of having them. Her ability to see hidden intentions and read even very secretive dragons like open books makes her sharper than most. It is perhaps for this reason that, after some time within the Nature clan, she chose Phlox as her mate; being one of the few dragons Phlox is incapable of fooling with riddles, and too clever to be caught in his tricks. Having fully-recovered from much of what she endured, Iochroma is far from dependent or afraid of the world, and few dragons discuss the nature of how she came into the clan. It does not do justice to the dragon that Iochroma is now.
