Valley's Review:
This dragon really, really looks like bamboo. The coloring is absolutely perfect! I like that she's got a basic primary - though I can't help but think about how amazing she'd look with ripple:
(hot daNG)
I don't think I've ever noticed how smooth the birdskull headress is on spirals compared to other breeds? Huh.
"I think I've found my courage at last."

Between the green sisters of stalks,
She gathers the greenest of rocks To shame her blue eyes And spite the sunrise Whilst filling her sea-colored box. -by Capriquarius (33912) |

Streak's name: Zephyr
As the youngest dragon in Avis Calvariam's first fighting team, Bamboo always tried just a little bit harder to prove she could do everything her sister in arms, Ariath, could do. The work paid off, as she was always Dreamfyre's first choice to help when it came to training new recruits for the Windsinger. This favoritism caused a lot of friction between Bamboo and Ariath. Though they still fought brilliantly side-by-side in battle, words shared between the two became less and less frequent. When they did speak, it was with harsh tones and insults. Eventually their feud spun out of control and Ariath snapped, storming out of the clan's territory with little more than a snarled goodbye and the vow that she would never return. Feeling guilty and hurt, Bamboo all but put her fighting days behind her. Born under the Stormcatcher’s rule, Bamboo has long since abandoned her birth element in favor of Wind. Ashamed of her brilliant blue eyes, she keeps them hidden as best she can - which often annoys a fellow clanmate when she plows right into them with a, "Sorry! I didn't see you there!" Jarrikk harbors an intense disdain for the self-proclaimed Wind dragon, and has taken more than a few swipes at her in passing. He got more than he bargained for when, one day, she finally retaliated to his abuse and left him with some scars to remind him of his folly. He hasn't bothered her since. Though she'll deny it, she does have a touch of Lightning’s ingenuity and was an immense help in the building and, later, repair of The Song Bird. She takes pride in having had a part in helping her clanmates make it to The Cloudsong and credits the construction of the airship to her inclination of Wind. Her once sharpened claws are often chipped and dull due to her tireless maintenance of the engines to her aerial home, but her reflexes and instincts haven't suffered in the slightest.
Plague Days:
Leaving her beloved home when she was so, so close to achieving her lifelong dream of seeing The Cloudsong broke Bamboo's heart, but not her spirit. She wasted nary a moment getting to work on repairing the smashed controls. When Teiran blustered in, all boast and confidence and taking the credit, Bamboo couldn't help but feel a little snubbed. But she said nothing and let the Fae do as she wished, handing her the occasional tool and assigning a pointless task to get her out of the way. As nice as acknowledgment would be, The Cloudsong is enough of a reward for her efforts.
The Cloudsong:
It made perfect sense that Onra would want her clan to be able to better handle another disaster. That they would be better equipped to heal an ill or injured clanmate, or quicker to bare their fangs in combat. But Bamboo was among those to protest.Jarrikk immediately accused her of doing so because it would make her job "pointless." She had ignored him, seeing no justification in stating she was an engineer now, not a warrior. Her argument was simple: "Fighting isn't for everyone. Causing harm, killing... it can change a dragon." She denied Onra's request to help train her fellow crew members, and later got an earful from Dreamfyre for it, but not even her old mentor and best friend could change her mind. |

gotw3's review:
As a Windy, I can appreciate this girl. Great balloon use- I can't figure out for the life of me how to use that balloon properly. I love the subtle accent as well, it's adorable! Her genes make her look very natural- the ripple is beautiful, and the seraph makes her look like a literal leaf.
My one critique would be to perhaps remove the birdskull- in this case, there's no brown anywhere else in the outfit, and adding another color to an already busy color palette clutters it slightly in my opinion.
