Ginger has been many things in his life. Now he’s currently a stay at home dad who handles the house and manages the children while his mate is off delivering mail. When there aren’t any children in the cabin he likes to go out with Snaps and do a bit of exploring, climbing tall mountains and getting lost out in the wilderness. He’s always got a kind word for anyone and goes out of his way at times to make others happy. Despite his Earthy roots he’s as friendly as a Wind dragon and fits in perfectly with the rest of the Caravan’s cheerful roots.

But Ginger wasn’t always as most know him. When he came to the Clan he was quiet and secretive without many friends. In an effort to make more friends and be more open with his new clan, who he was shy around, he started to use his magic in ways that made other dragons happy. He used his magic to make great displays of light and color and shimmering images. It wasn’t until then that he realized that these strange talents he had were not common among Earth dragons. Rather he expressed Shadow abilities that made him excellent at illusions. That didn’t stop him from trying his best to make friends in the clan.

This led him to getting close to Nari, one of the few Shadow dragons in the clan. Nari was everything Ginger wasn’t. She took him under her wing and taught him how to use his strange Shadow magic. Together they founded the Shadow Court, a spy network that keeps tabs on everyone and thing that happens in the Clan and the happenings of allies and enemies. Ginger was Nari’s right claw dragon for a long time, and was very good at what he did.

It wasn’t for him though. Eventually Ginger left the Shadow Court, leaving on rocky terms with Nari who took it a bit as a betrayal after everything they’d built together. Once he no longer owed alligence to Nari or the Shadow Court he was able to return to using his illusions and magic to entertain others and bring joy to them. He was also able to focus more fully on the love of his life and mate; Snaps. He considers his time in the Shadow Court and old life and doesn’t like to speak of it, preferring everyone knows him as the cheerful explorer.

On his explorations he does sometimes relay information back to Nari. For old times’ sake.
