Chii is the ORIGINAL, dubbed Matriarch, Lightning collector.
Storm catcher himself appointed her to be the start of the entire project, and to lead her fellow dragons to serve accordingly. She is always referred to as "Origin" the start of it all. A warrior true to heart, she became strong to lead the dragons that will follow her.

A storm brewing on the sea, brought a strong surge of energy to the land. “Ahh, yes. This will do very nicely,” StormCatcher muttered to himself. His strong sharp wings spread from his body, the webbing catching the wind much akin to a sail on a boat. The rain came thundering down, pelting the land in its wake. Dark clouds grew hauntingly closer, engulfing the moonlight above. Hastily, StormCatcher ascended into the dark sky, straight to the thunderous clouds above. A boom of natural strong-hearted thunder rumbled deep in the dark abyssal cloud mass. Suddenly, StormCatcher lets out a strong roar, directing his lightning to make contact at the exact moment the naturally forming one reaches the peaks of the earth below. The largest light mass ever seen by StormCatcher engulfed the charred dry wastelands below. The light though did not erupt because of the lightning alone, no, it's due to his creation that lurked below. Alone in his time with his children and work endeavors, he had been working on the most exciting money producer any drake shall lay eyes upon. Slowly, he approaches the metallic dome on the surface. He places his claws on it and slowly it begins to open, letting out a solid cyan light. Arching his head closer, his sharp eyes view his most successful creation. Subspecies. Not just any, but a scientifically created subspecies, designed to be hosts of lightning itself, and act as carriers to transport said lightning. His smaller mantis-like limbs reach down and pick up the young dragon. “You…are my FINEST creation, child. Unwavering, strong drakes. Built FOR lightning.” He set the Wildclaw down and proceeded about his day. He ended up naming the creation “Chii” meaning “Status” as power is everything when starting out. Of course, he also branded his subspecies, "Lightning Collectors" as true to their name. As Chii grew, she became pretty much his adversary. Overlooking the Lightning Collectors, and producing them too. They developed enhanced technology to further their subspecies expansions into other regions. They are feared by many dragons, as unnatural, in their eyes. Alas, they may get dirty and feared looks from other dragons, but within the shifting expanse, they’re safe and well established.

Born from a chamber that held her egg a burst of natural lightning and self-created lightning made contact with it. She emerges exuding strength and vigor. Stormcatcher stared upon her fondly when the dome opened, "Exquisite." He gruffly exclaims. With his mantis-like limbs, he lifts the hatchling up and proceeds to take her outside. On that particular day, the thunder was roaring to an almost deafening volume from the uproar he had raised. Stormcatcher holds her up, like a bright beacon. Looking very pleased, Stormcatcher set her down and placed a jar next to her with some cords poking out of it. He began to attach the cords onto her body via a single syringe. Instantly, the jar was filled with lightning, extracting it from her body from the previous exposure. "Now, this will make us quite a profit..yes..." Stormcatcher mumbled to himself about future business endeavors that can form from this revolutionary discovery. He swung his head around and stared at Chii," YOU, are the start, the origin. Find them, and lead them." He left quickly after saying his vague message. It was enough for Chii to understand though, she was no normal drake. Quickly, she set out to find more like her and to alter them to be a cog in a greater operation.
It wasn't easy finding others, but when she did she would quickly gather them. Along the way, she found a quicker method for obtaining Lightning Collectors, which was to PRODUCE them. So she started to produce many offspring to aid in their subspecies. Greater numbers meant more prosperity to them. Breeding mindlessly is not the goal. Each offspring moves further towards the "perfect" specimen. Culling the weak ones, meant letting the survivors continue to reproduce and to focus their energy on the ones that matter the most. Off by a color? Gone, serve on the front lines to Stormcatcher himself. Chii sees breeding as a mutual exchange for furthering their species. She will only breed to the finest suitors.
Watching her brood grow, and produce offspring of their own is very rewarding to Chii. As their subspecies grow and grow, she lingers and continues her own missions. Chii prefers to work rather than worry about offspring now. She did her duty and provided a big push to their goal. Most of the time, Chii will attend various jobs, being the Original she can come and go as she pleases and chooses what she will do. Never at any moment does she have idle claws though, from gracing the new collectors with her presence to guarding merchants she does it all.
For the remainder of her life, she seldomly mates. She spent the first part of her life producing 13 wonderful offspring. Chii typically finds herself training up the newcomers for their appropriate roles within the clan. She also will time-to-time go and visit Stormcatcher and give him updates periodically of how the subspecies are faring.

"Chii" Geniology spoke softly to her. A ridgeback, whom Chii has let get close to her since the beginning. "Yes, Genio?" She smirked at the nickname she's given him since the first time they met. Looking rather unamused, Geniology responds," Come, let's go for a stroll." She dips her head and stands up," Lead the way." The Ridgeback lifted himself into the air with his massive wings,
