Biography

Quote:
We are shapen in iniquity, and in sin our Mother does conceive us; we crawl from the seething Wound as parasites; poor and blind and filled with a loathsome disease, and there is no soundness in our flesh. The filth dwelleth in us that cannot be cleaned. It is called the pestilence that walks in darkness, and the destruction that wasteth at noon day, the rash incurable, the wound grievous. It is the voice which raspeth in the ear, 'unclean, unclean!', it is the warning bell of the weak, it is the purge fires of the foreign lands, it is the scent of fear before the rot.
Let us raise our hands in praise to it! For behold, I am vile, and what shall I answer?
But to shew you the plague of the heart and is what is meant by it, and what may be learned from it but we survive.
Praise be Her name.

High Priestess

The religious cadre of Delphi is a tightly-knit group who answer to no authority but the voice of the Plaguebringer, and it is Myasthenia who hears that voice most clearly of all. An unapologetic fanatic, she is prone to spitting, howling rants and sermons, and has more than once flown in the face of those she feels do not show proper devotion, digging claws riddled with infectious boils deep into the wounds. She is not fond of the clan patriarch in spite of his devotion, however, and most of her dealings with the leadership of the clan is done through Sitala.

Myasthenia has been blinded by her own sicknesses, but there are those among the clan's more faithful who believe the dead pustules cloistered in her empty sockets still see much. When not engaged in ritual, she can often be found meditating in the bone wastes or near the rim of the Wyrmwound, staring distantly as if in a trance.
