xxxClever of tongue and wise of mind, Mori is an expert on, as their clanmates like to say, “old dead things”. A scholar through and through, Mori enthusiastically began their studies as a hatchling—researching things such as primordial magic, lost languages, ancient runes, and, of course, the otherworldly forces their parents specialized in hunting down. They spent many years traveling across Sornieth before settling down and, though they no longer travel as much as they used to, Mori continues to maintain contacts and information lines around the world.
xxxMori is in charge of protecting the clan from malevolent otherworldly forces and organizing their clanmates to maintain the clan's magical defenses. They very much enjoy their work and there’s always a wicked glitter to their eyes when asked about the nature of their profession.

xxxHatched as the eldest of three, Mori was by far the most rebellious of the clutch. Though they inherited their mothers’ love of research—eagerly devouring book after book as soon as they could read—it was not long before Mori was seeking out more taboo subjects such as necromancy and magical contracts. These interests worried their mothers, as the family are hunters of otherworldly beings and cautioned their children to not speak with such things, as these entities often seek to corrupt the unwitting.

xxxEven so, Mori argued that one needn't necessarily use force to hunt down and return the otherworldly to where they belong, and that a little finesse may yield better results despite the added risk. Their mothers’ eventually came around to the idea to support Mori's research; a decision that Mori suspects may have been in part due to their youngest brother's injury in battle against the undead. Thus Mori came to dedicate themself to the negotiation, creation, maintenance, and enforcement of deals and contracts with the forces which their parents had once warned them against. Through artfully constructed articles, they have learned to get too-clever liches to unwind the magics binding them to the material plane, talked haunting spirits from the rounds they have taken up, and even sealed a vampire's waking time to daylight—with the expected consequences for the other parties, of course. Their studies and work eventually lead them away from their clan of origin, and gained them some traveling companions in the form of Thanatos, an underworld spirit; Solace, a mage; and Idris, a fellow hunter of the undead.

xxxAfter some time, Mori found themself in the Windswept Plateau in pursuit of a little wraith who, after having been caught, agreed to a mutually beneficial contract. This little wraith quickly became a valuable ally and an excellent guide to the local area, and soon led them to the site of some ruins tucked away in a valley amidst the Millmeadows that seemed to be a hotspot for paranormal activity. After some careful cleansing, these ruins were soon renovated to become the foundations of Breezehaven.

xxxThese days, Mori spends their time investigating more local phenomena and only occasionally traveling to meet with scholars or to assist fellow hunters of the otherworldly. When at home, they can most often be found inside the Citadel, researching various topics in the clan's ever-growing library or securing cursed objects deep within the vast halls. However, lately they've been spending more time in the field again due to the discovery of a secondary set of ruins buried beneath the original ones that had been renovated into the clan's village. The excavation of these newly unearthed and far more ancient ruins has caused a cascade of unusual happenings throughout the clan's territory—or rather, even more unusual than normal for a clan containing so many spirits. Despite the problems that have sprung up, Mori has been enjoying the challenge of solving such a puzzle and is determined to get to the bottom of the mystery.
