BIOGRAPHY
Where her siblings Arqa and Yukiya grew up bickering about their differences, Mehmet took a leaf from her mortal father’s book and became their mediator. She learned how to resolve disputes and when to use violence, and when Arqa and Yukiya found their own mentors among the other faeries, Mehmet was taught by almost the entire court in turn.

Before she could decide what it was she wanted to do with the life Ulawayn gave her, disaster struck. A rival court stormed Castle Ayelid. Mehmet dove headfirst into the defense along with all of her family, desperately trying to protect Ulawayn.

The battle raged for longer than Mehmet knew a battle could last. In among all the screeching and clawing and magic blasts, Mehmet saw her mage-brother Arqa nearly being overpowered by two Ridgeback-formed faeries. She helped kill them, then helped Arqa with an injured wing to the top of Castle Ayelid’s walls. From the new vantage point, she realized the attackers had a weakness at their flank, and exploited it by sending Yukiya to tear them apart while she created a diversion with the rest of Ayelid Court.

For her quick thinking, Ulawayn rewarded her with her own father, Madrak, as her thrall, and Mehmet found exactly what she wanted to do in the defense of Castle Ayelid.

RELATIONSHIPS

Yukiya teases Mehmet a bit more than Mehmet would like. However, she trusts Yukiya to make the right decisions in battle, and can always count on her sister's strength, so she puts up with whatever teasing comes her way.

Arqa is, in Mehmet's opinion, generally rather cold. She works with him because it's Ulawayn's orders, and because he's a fantastic mage, but that doesn't mean she has to like him. He only ever discusses magic and battle tactics with her. Anything else, he backs away from even mentioning.
