Feel the breeze, Zmeya! Doesn't it feel good up on the plateau? ... Yeah, I wouldn't want to fall off it, either.

Personality: Atlas is one of the most stupidly upbeat dragons you'll ever meet. She often serves as a steadying rock and a positive (well, most of the time) influence on the people around her. While she thinks realistically most of the time, she sugarcoats her words and expresses an optimistic outlook.

However, she doesn't expect things to solve themselves. She thinks firmly in cause, effect and, most importantly, countereffect. She does her best to plan out things beforehand, but often diverges from her plan and makes something up on the fly.

Atlas is not fond of thinking within the box or being told what to do. She's slightly rebellious, a trait she usually expresses with cleverly snappy remarks or almost doing what she's been told but not quite. You can usually find her out in the fields or dunes, soaring over the top of,the mesa, or hesitating on whether or not to dive into one of the forbidden areas. While she loves the Duskwings strongly, politics is not her strong suit, despite her parents' desperate attempts at teaching her.

She doesn't think she's going to be a good leader, so she's found another role in life - alchemy. She's been apprenticed to Simya, but, given her parents' disapproval, she's not sure how she can keep this role.

Appearance: Atlas has inherited her mother's Icefielder size, and is both tall and broad-shouldered, with a body that's both soft and muscular. Despite her father's best attempts at keeping her presentable, her hide is usually covered in dust, mud or leaves, depending on her current favorite location, and has several little scars from her adventures. Her wings are long and broad, well-trained so she can glide long distances. She has brilliant red, slanted eyes set in an open, angular face with an attractive feline quality to it. Her hair is thick and falls like a mane, and is usually messy and tangled. She dresses in clothes that are both beautiful and practical, prefering pants and vests to jewelry and shawls.

Magic: Atlas' interest in magic is purely academical. On a theoretic level, she's fascinated with it. On a more practical one, it makes her very uneasy. If she'd see it in use she would probably freak out. She has no idea whether or not she has the ability, and is comfortable with keeping it that way,

Background: Atlas' story has just began. She's a young dragoness with her whole life ahead of her.

Born to the leaders of the Duskwing Traders, it was agreed she would inherit this position and lead the caravan one day. She was introduced to the political world as a hatchling, but kept seeing it as a game, a fun adventure of bowing and nodding and sirring and ma'aming, something she'd do to get readyfor being a queen (and whenever an eyebrow was risen over this apparently male hatchling introducing herself as the Heiress, Azazel's glares would quickly lower it).

Even as a child she was never able to fit inside the boxes or follow the same roads as the rest. She was curious, a little adventurer, a trait which only grew as she did.

This, of course, resulted in injury once or twice. At a scraped-up flank, she was sent to Simya, the closest thing the clan had to a healer, who tied the wound up with cloth and fed her potions to keep the pain down. Atlas came back once she was healed, curious over what Simya had managed to so, and would enter the shop, talk about her work under the guise of being a "curious customer".

It didn't take long for Simya to ask her to be her apprentice. She accepted, and found she fit the role, and liked brewing much better than bowing and nodding and sirring and ma'aming.

Her father, unfortunately, was not delighted.

Location: Before the city itself stands an immense rocky spire where the markets are hosted. It is in the shadow of this spire that the Duskwings have set up camp. While they have gained some culture and organization after Azazel's takeover, they are still more of a trading caravan than a clan, and no attempts to build permanent buildings have been made. They are mostly to entirely mobile homes that can quickly be moved. The vast majority of them are made out of the dark woven branches that have become a famously Duskwingish style, some of them with a missing wall that is instead covered in flowing silks. Many carry little plants from the Tangled Woods with them, but unlike most Shadow vegetation, most of these are orange and look like little fires.

Atlas shares a little home with her parents here. It is one of the few permanent houses, set about seven meters above the camp on the side of the spire, but still far below the bustling bazaar above. It used to be a small cave, but has been expanded by the two residents. The entrance is covered in flowing, slightly tattered, purple fabric. It is only accessible by flying, and has no stair leading up to it. It is their little hideaway, where they can be normal and care about each other and themselves. Most of it is covered in pale purple and blue fabrics, and there are many couches and other places for rest and comfort. Azazel keeps a bookshelf in here, and Mafrea her personal collection of daggers. In the back of the den is a mural depicting the Wildclaw's ascension to the throne.

ETYMOLOGY - Named after the Titan who holds up the sky in Greek mythology

ZODIAC - Aries

AGE - 19

AESTHETICS - Feet brown with dust, silver compasses, an outdated, wrinkled map, the sound of laughter, alchemy sets filled with purple fluid, stargazing from rooftops, a hidden trail among the rocks, baskets filled with cool-hued flowers.

ALIGNMENT - Chaotic Good

ORIENTATION - Homoromantic/Homosexual

THEME SONG - Jackrabbit - San Fermin

RELATIONS -

Azazel - Father
To Atlas, Azazel is a role model but not somebody to obey, fascinating but a little boring. She loves him very much, but feels he is too restrictive, too concerned with propriety and caution. Still, when it comes to talking openly or cuddling, there are few that surpass him.

Mafrea - Mother
Things are a little awkward between these two since Atlas sometimes thinks Mafrea fears she'll break if handled improperly, resulting in another person attempting to tie her down. She realizes she does it out of love, but it's still frustrating. Other than this, their relationship is quite positive.

Zmeya - Crush
Atlas has slowly fallen in love with Zmeya during many long, boring political meetings. She's incredibly shy around her since she has no idea of whether or not the feelings are mutual. So far, their relationship is that of two best friends, which is nice too, but not what she wishes for.

Simya - Teacher
Her mentor in alchemy. She considers Simya impressive and inspiring with all her knowledge, eccentric behaviors and seemingly boundless enthusiasm. Sometimes she frightens her a little bit, but they have a very close, friendly relationship, and she loves it.
