She called them battle scars.
Her companions called them unnessecary.
Yadina had too much to prove to them. She told them from day one that she was hellbent on being the first fire dragon to brave the Cloudscape Crags, the treacherous landmark of the Southern Icefield.
She didn’t expect the Crags to treat her kindly, and she went in knowing that there was a possibility of no return. Yadina challenged herself anyways. There was no other option she could take.
No one expected her to return. No one expected to see her covered in unbreakable icicles, chains that kept her from breaking free of the past. Everything but her soul had frozen over. Everything expect her soul burned bright with passion.

Because she won. And she wouldn’t let anyone forget it.
