Icarus flew too close to the sun, but how did his father feel watching him fall?

History
She was given the name Urania when she hatched. She was Conjure’s best friend and even as hatchlings she felt a distinct pull to be around him. His enthusiasm was infectious to her. No matter what was happening he made it sound so mystical and enamoring that she wanted to do it too. Though his greatest vice was the glimmer of precious gems and his overwhelming thirst for alchemy. She was more entranced with living beings and maintaining plant-life. She wanted to be a dragon who could use her innate ability in alchemy to support and enhance living.
She spent long years with Conjure bent over her cauldron, taking notes and learning. She almost perfected a formula to turn objects to life. She wasn’t aware of what her friend was trying to do with it and she willingly shared her formula. Conjure threw her concoction into their cauldron and combined it with his attempt to transmute flesh into gold.
They both watched as the lab rats began to morph into crystal encrusted creatures, gems replacing flesh yet they were still breathing. For a second, Urania and Conjure celebrated, thinking that both of their brews worked, and that their combined life's work were in their hands.
But there was a mistake. Alchemy is just as much an art as it is a science, and as they were reaching their own gloved claws into the cauldron to bottle the new substance, there was a turn for the worst. Both Conjure and Urania were splashed with the substance, and watched as their own bodies burned, their soft tissue melting into brilliant gemstones.
Unlike Conjure, who slowly became part harmless yet beautiful Pietersite, Urania found her own scales and feathers burned into Uranium. Conjure still lost something that day too, but probably just his marbles.

Trivia

Her uranium can be used as a power source, but no one has been able to get close enough to ask.
Attempts to live in a radiation bunker, so that she won't spread her sickness to anyone else.
Still wants to help create life but now she cant
Lost and empty ever since she became Uranium.
