Biography

-Lore-

Quigley is an electrician hailing from the ice flight. When she was just a hatchling, she lost her voice in a horrific accident. Working with her family, she was able to learn new ways to communicate and continue her learning with her master. Since then she has grown to know common sign language and coatl sign language- although she finds the latter hard to replicate since she does not have feathers.

After many years of rigorous study, her master deemed her ready to travel out into the world and put her talents to use in another clan. She had planned to depart alone, taking along only her families well wishes and her tools of the trade. However, before she could depart, tragedy struck again. Her younger den-sister, Lambert, became sick with a ferocious illness.

No healers in her own clan or those nearby knew how to cure such a thing, so she took her sister with her and searched for a cure somewhere out in the world.

Months passed without hope: there was no sign of a healer who could cure her sister nor no signs of the illness disappearing on its own. Desperate, she began asking in the less-reputable places, hoping that anyone could give her a hint as to what to do.

And someone did.

They spoke of a mage in faraway green lands with incredible power, but warned that any help would come at a price.

With her sisters condition getting worse by the day, Quigley decided to go. A week of traveling and she found the lands and the cursed mage.

The mage promised to heal her sister if, and only if, Quigley agreed to participate in one of their experiments. Her decision was clear and made without forethought.

The horrible experiment left Quigley haggard and broken inside. Her lungs were more or less gone, her heart was weak, and where once her chest was there was now a gaping hole. But she did not die. She held on. For her sister.

The mage had, as agreed upon, cured her sister. However, she now needed a home. Lambert would not survive in this harsh place alone, and traveling back to her family was out of the question (Quigley would not make it that far, and if she did, what would they think of her?).

So Quigley carried on through the woods with her sister, still weak from the magic, draped across her back. She expected to travel for days but somehow within hours she found a home- and someone who could help her.

Sul had been shocked to see Quigley's bloody mess, and had quickly called out MoonShadow and Natasza to aid her. Taking Quigley and her sister in, the two healers worked quickly to repair what they could to keep the dragoness alive. Eventually, when Quigley ran out of flesh to replace what was once there, they called in Zuzu to give her metal.

Quigley awoke in her new home confused and free of pain. At first she thought she was dead. Surely no dragon could have survived her wounds. But when she examined herself in a mirror, she found that she was alive and whole again (albeit with different parts).

Quigley and Lambert quickly assimilated to life with the Sun Patch Clan. Lambert spent her days under the watchful eye of Spinel, and Quigley helped out where she could in the lab with Zuzu: collecting lightening with Ith on days with storms and compiling it for the machines Zuzu created and her own body.

The memories of her horrific experiment faded from both her own mind and Lambert's, and soon, no matter how pressed, she could not answer how she came to the clan in such a state.
