Aucal never intended to join Beam Glade Clan, and he will in fact insist that he is not truly a member if asked now, after decades of time among the glades.

He has been stopping by this clan for many years, and each time he finds himself staying longer and longer. Yaena insists that he is in fact a member of the clan, who simply takes frequent trips away. Aucal is an adventurer at heart, though as he has grown closer to the mismatched members of Beam Glades Clan, he has found himself using the old watchtowers as a base of operations. The Sunbeam ruins are a paradise for more curious-minded dragons, and Aucal's small size means he can squeeze into many previously unexplored caverns and collapsed structures.

Aucal ensures that any information or curiosities he discovers while roaming the ruins is safely delivered back to his loyal friends at Beam Glade. This has resulted in the ruined watchtowers being filled with a variety of treasures (many of which are only considered treasures by Aucal himself).

As time has passed, Aucal found himself inexplicably making himself more and more at home in Beam Glades, which the more permanent members embrace. Most dragons will gladly make space for Aucal and his treasures each time he returns from an expedition, rolling their eyes when he insists that this is not a permanent situation.
