Many of Roseth's foes have been fooled by his bright and unthreatening colouring. As a hatchling he was often bullied by his fellow mirrors for lacking a visual ferocity. It did not take long for Roseth to leave his pack behind and prove his doubters wrong.

Solitary life is hard for mirrors, but Roseth persevered and lived alone in the wilds for many years. Eventually he returned to his hatchling pack, thinking that his collection of scars and trinkets won from enemies would somehow allow him a space among them. While that wish came true, Roseth found himself unsatisfied by his new life as a member of a mirror pack. His time alone had changed him, and he found the pack mentality hard to coexist with. He challenged the pack leaders, disagreed with hunting strategies, and still found himself on the receiving end of snide remarks.

During one particular hunt in the Driftwood Drag, Roseth glimpsed through the trees and spied a fae investigating an abnormally large growth of mushrooms. Bored and frustrated with the pack orchestrated hunt, Roseth followed the curious fae, torn between eating it and communicating with it. He stalked the tiny dragon for a while, paying little thought to the pack he had left behind. Eventually the fae gathered up the samples of fungi it had been collecting all throughout the forest, and returned to a place Roseth had never dared to go: the Sunbeam Ruins.

Watching from afar he spied a small clan of dragons nesting among some tumbled pillars, made of a greater variety of dragons than he had ever seen before. Curiosity kept him there on the outskirts of the ruins for many days, watching this strange clan. He had no intention on contacting them, but the choice was made for him when the very same fae woke him one morning, perched on rubble nearby and investigating the runes on Roseth's side. A short verbal confrontation followed, but Roseth lacked the motivation to kill the fae and deal with the rest of the clan. The fae introduced himself as Aucal, and invited the hungry Roseth into the ruins for a meal and shelter from the elements.

Roseth reluctantly agreed, stressing that he would only stay for one meal to get his strength up, and leave soon. It just so happened that the clan had many weapons hoarded away, but no dragons who knew how to wield them. So Roseth promised to stay just long enough to sort through this hoard of weapons and separate the valuable ones from the rubbish as thanks for the food and shelter. After that, he found himself instructing some of the dragons in how to use said weapons. His place among this clan eventually became permanent when Roseth lead the defence against his old hatchling pack.

Roseth has since remained dedicated to his new clan, following it through thick and thin, and seeing it through moves across the known world when the clan decided to move to the Sea of a Thousand Currents. There among the rock pools and swift currents he remains the main defender and military leader of Bright Reef Enclave.
