He found Ari wandering around the same empty wasteland as him. They started living together more out of necessity than out of friendship. It was a dangerous place out there alone. After awhile the two decided to have a nest together.

From that nest they had two wonderful kids, Kalen and Vash. But as their family grew Tiko and Ari where finding out that they where just to different form each other to last as a couple. Where Tiko was a grumpy "old" man with a kind soul, and more concerned about his hobbies than anything else. Ari was brash and always looking for a fight, more vicious than loving. As soon as the kids had grown up Tiko and Ari split-up. And while they still live under the same roof they are no longer mates.

After awhile more and more new dragons started to join the clan that Tiko and Ari had made. Some came to work with Tiko on whatever his latest invention was, others to join Ari in the pursuit of becoming warriors. And still more came because they had nowhere else to go and there is strength in numbers. And eventually one of these newcomers stole Tiko's heart.

Claywind a beautiful Guardian dragon from the North. She was just like Tiko always wanting to make something, but also different prone to playing jokes on others and not afraid to challenge others to a duel. In short she was perfect for him, and it was long before they became life-long mates.

Wandering the waste's. Hot, so hot. All he ever knew was the heat. The vast desert stretched out before him, behind him was more of the same. Sand, dunes, and sun.

Alone, small, and afraid. Hatched to an empty nest, no parents there to greet him, no siblings to play with. Just alone. Hunger had driven him from the nest, fear had kept him away. Occasionally he would see shadows fly over. An instinctual fear would come over him, driving him to take cover. In his short life he hadn't known fear, but he grew to know the feeling, it was not pleasant.
