We are coming to you from the heavenly realms of the Observatory on this beautiful starry morning for a special broadcast, our very own Starcane Sprite Report, where we chronicle the annual Starfall festival. Thank you for tuning in today. [fade music]
Arcanites are getting down to business here at the yearly celebration of pink, magic and stars. Oh yes, what would Starfall be without Stars. Tales of magic spells, rituals, energy, entertaining games and challenging contests are all being developed for this years festival. Reports are coming in on the expected numbers of stargazers and magic seekers set to make their presence known upon the Isles. Early indications are that this years visitor numbers will exceed last years numbers by the thousands. Meanwhile, Arcane members have been busily expanding their lairs to accommodate the stargazing holiday visitors.
WSTAR secured a sneak peak into this year’s event and I, your humble cherub, will bring you that exclusive interview with the one and only LuminousNoble in just a moment.
But first, an update on a very sad story we recently brought to your attention not too long ago. The young dragon from Arcane who went missing over two years ago has possibly been sighted in Shadow territory. Witnesses say they spotted the dragon, all grown up now, at a glowshroom field with little ones in tow. As you might remember from news reports, the dragon has been identified by her hollow eyes and missing underbelly, according to sources close to her parents. One of the witnesses overheard the dragon being called to by others in the vicinity as Masqumbre, commonly thought to be the alias of this missing dragon. Before she could be confronted, she allegedly disappeared into the night. If indeed, this dragon is the missing Spira, it is disturbing to think that young dragons would be found in her care as it is widely thought that the tale about the Shade is real and not a fairy story!
In other local news, we note an exciting development at the Observatory! Certain items have been found, and one in particular is quite mysterious. The scientists are not yet sure of it’s power, but it is thought to reveal some sort of dimensional shift in reality. Scientists report that they aren’t ready to reveal exactly what they are observing at this time, but it’s what they call “divine vibration” for lack of a more scientific term. Reports on this newly observed phenomenon are due in the next several weeks. Stay tuned.

International news out of Sorneith today shows that Drake Harvest, a new festival, has just concluded. Lately, a handful of new familiars have been seen running around Sornieth. The general forums are moving at a steady clip as new players have joined the flights with numerous questions and status’.
For otherworldly news, look to the stars as the nebula phenomena has been reported in the eastern region of space. This is just in time for the festival in Arcane who specialize in looking through the observatory for space-related phenomena.

Lumi: Ha! That's quite a play on words, Chai! Yeah, we're planning a Ritual Rave. See, we found this tome relic, a sort of spellbook, really. Our Observatory Students did all the hard work on this project - we couldn't be more proud of our rising stars! We're still in the process of translating the whole tome, but we're preeeetty sure we have enough info to bring the spell to life for Starfall. And! If it goes as we suspect! The results will light up the Universe like never before! Impressive, right?
Chai: Sounds absolutely explosive! I’m curious, Lumi, how do you know this, since the tome hasn’t been fully translated?
Lumi: Well, Chai, we have to keep some Arcane secrets to ourselves, if you know what I mean, but you might find some clues in a few of the Fairy Tales we were all told as hatchlings. Of course, I can’t tell you anymore than that or it could ruin all the fun.
Chai: Yah, yah… you don’t want to let out any spoilers! So what else do you have in store for the celebration?
Lumi: Sooo glad you asked that question, Chai! Clearly, I have to mention that the art is dazzling, and we have a whole host of activities and magical games to participate in; there will be several competitions with fabulous prizes offered; Ummm, of course, Stargrams will be sent, and there’ll be an opportunity to brew your own Baldwin recipe with your familiar!
Chai: What? Brew your familiar? What strange magic is this?
Lumi: No, no, NOT brew your familiar!!! Brew WITH your familiar! It’s one of the games!
Chai: Oh, thank the Arcanist! I’m glad we cleared that up, Lumi!
Lumi: Right, right! Um, well, changing the subject to happier potions… I mean, notions, [laughs] we have the most amazing art team and I must give them a SHOUT! OUT! today on your program. Their creations are nothing short of pure magic! On top of that the number of badges and prizes offered are going to be endless, sort of like the stars I’d say?
Chai: Well, I have to admit, Arcane art shines, and your list of activities certainly fits that bill! But can you tell me any more about the ritual?
Lumi: I can, Chai. From what we know, the excitement of the celebration is captured by a magical grid that... does... something. We're not sure what yet. We'll all find out together!
Chai: That sounds kind of scary. What if it doesn’t work? Will it spoil the festival?
Lumi: Well, no not really. Our Ritual Rave IS going to be a BIG party! Dancing, lights, music… the whole sheeebang! [Lumi is practically jumping out of the chair, arms spreading wide, just miss hitting the mic.] The energy alone will blast us into the stars, [suddenly taking a serious tone] ...but …with the ritual… well,… [settling down, placing both hands on the table in front of him and sort of whispering into the mic in a sort of twisted voice] …well, that could be truly mind-bending, time-warping and Universe altering! [smiles mischieviously]
Chai: [speechless for a moment, gathers her wits] Heaven help us! [Laughs]
Lumi: Aw, come on, you know you can’t wait!!! I want all clans of Sorneith to join us over at the Starfall Hub to check out the excitement. There is something magical for everyone!
Chai: So, truthfully, how is all the planning and exalting going? Is Arcane going to be ready for the big day?
Lumi: Yeah, it’s coming along quite nicely. No worries. Lots of activities have already started. We gotta a bit of work to do in the coli, but we’ll be ready. You can bet your lucky stars!
