The Birth of the Plague

Navani only had vague memories of the life before the plague inside of her body. She had lived with this rot that her mate has cursed her with for a long time, Yuzu had become her partner through their shared hardships and combined plights. Just as she suffered with the rot, Yuzu suffered with the stone curse that she had put on him in a crazy battle. These curses seemed to rebound on the both of them because after the battle they couldn't get more than 10 feet away from one another without getting sick and starting to wither even quicker. So Navani and Yuzu travelled the lands for a few years until the came across Mistress Needle, who was directing people to come to her carnival. She invited them in, and discussed that her carnival was a place for outcasts to come to stay and have a life. So they stayed and work the carnival and enjoy what was left of their lives together.

New Beginnings

When Needle met Navani, She was only partially rotted. So Needle agreed to assist her and Yuzu through their shared difficulties and became their caretaker, protector as well as a mother to both the pearlcatcher and the snapper. When Navani came to the carnival with Yuzu, she didn't expect to find her forever home here. Needle in her wisdom and sensitivity asked them what they needed and Navani explained the whole situation. Needle said " you and yuzu are welcome here, no questions asked." Navani stared at Needle for a couple minutes, and the rest is history.

Needle's Journal Entry

When I met Navani, she was only slightly decayed. I saw the value in her despite the state of her physical body. She is definitely a case of never judging a book by its cover because she is a very sweet dragon. When she appeared she was with a half stone pearlcatcher named Yuzu. Navani very calmly explained their situation and Needle thought it was interesting how their curses rebounded on one another, so she invited them to stay the rest of their days
