A dragon shrouded in mystery and may not even be a dragon at all, Zero is an assassin seemingly from the Scarred Wasteland but the hatchlings often like to joke that he’s an alien drawn to their clan by magic. In truth he only arrived to their clan because he had needed a moment of rest from his search for a certain vault somewhere in Sornieth, and found their clan to be a comfortable enough place to do so. But he entertained the clan members unintentionally with how he speaks in haikus, and sometimes doesn’t respond at all besides with what lightning dragons might call ‘emoticons’ and ‘leetspeak’. He did eventually leave as he intended but he came back again weeks later, and he was asked then if he would like to be a clan member. Surprisingly he accepted, but kept to the terms of how he may need to leave at times for his search for challenges and this vault of treasures. Being an official (though wandering) member of the clan he was placed in as part of the clan’s guard, Zevran figured they could definitely use someone as capable with a sword as he was. But when they could see his abilities in action they were beyond amazed; he was able to bring out a decoy of himself while the real Zero turned invisible, and he was then able to lash out at enemies with the strongest attack he could manage. His sword also seemed to appear whenever he needed it and disappear once he was done with it, but nobody knew where in the world it had gone. Everyone was fascinated with their new quiet but incredibly quick and powerful member of the clan, but none so much as Bec who had come out from their corner of the lair to say hello and watch Zero train with the guard. Zero didn’t take to any of the dragons in the lair until Bec appeared, he kept to himself and didn’t show any kind of emotion to any of them unless it was in the form of an ‘emote’. But Bec was just as quiet as he was, and when they started to try to talk with him more he found himself not minding the company for once. Even going so far as to visit Bec in the back of the lair if they weren’t out front with the others, they became a special dragon to him whether they realize it or not. Every now and again he is reminded of his challenge about finding a this elusive vault, but at least now he doesn’t leave without saying goodbye to Bec anyway, in his most cryptic and poetic ways.
