Her eyes reflect the sea but it’s impossible to know if she’s ever been there in her life, as all the clan knows about her is that her egg showed up completely out of nowhere outside the clan’s lair. It seemed as though something awful might’ve taken place for someone to have left their child behind, so when she was found by the clan’s lamp lighter named Lantern, she searched off and on for days to find the lost egg’s family. But no one appeared despite all that she did, and she just ended up keeping the egg in her small corner of the lair with her while she tried to decide how to keep going from there. Her decision was made for her when the egg hatched to reveal a small nocturne that she immediately felt attached to and gave her the name Spideog. Lantern couldn’t be more proud of her daughter as she grew up, she was a welcomed member of the clan that was soon adored by most everyone. The only real problem with Spideog is how often she would get herself into trouble with the other members of the clan, often she would be sneaking around, listening in on conversations, setting up pranks as quietly as she could manage, all of this and more but the most troubling was thievery. She didn’t do it often but she did eventually reach an age where she wanted to see what such a thrill was like, but would be quick to learn that if she got caught she would be automatically sent to the knights for a lecture on her behavior. Lantern was also not very happy with her daughter for these actions and even if she wasn’t caught by knights, she would be by her and told to return everything she had taken. Spideog’s sneaky nature was a nuisance seemingly to everyone, but while everyone wasted their time being annoyed Ridley however, saw this as an opportunity for something more from the nocturne. Their clan did not often get into troubles with other clans but it seemed to them that it would be in their best interest to find a dragon who could spy on suspicious characters that might somehow slip into their lair. So they called Spideog in to talk to her about her habits, mentioning to her that if she could swear to stop listening in on everyone and stealing from them, she could be the clan’s official spy. Spideog excitedly accepted her new role and is always eager to find any dragons causing more trouble than what she used to do, and she keeps her promise to her leader to never steal from clanmates again. At the end of the day though she’s more than content to hang off a branch (or anything alike to a substitute one) much like a bat and get some rest after a long day. Lore by AbyssalKing |
