While Wicker is content to have fun messing with fellow clanmates, Thistle is more likely to sigh and shake her head at them while trying to get back to work. When Wicker accepted Zevran and Karynaku’s offer they didn’t leave without first returning to the sea to bring their younger sister along. She had been understandably reluctant, Wicker loved to get into trouble and Thistle wanted nothing to do with it especially if it would get her into trouble that she had no part in. However when Wicker mentioned that they were leaving to become a knight for a clan’s heir and not becoming the first mate to a pirate crew? It was enough to make her follow along, if only to keep her older sibling safe from their own antics. However she wasn’t as good with weapons of any kind unlike Wicker, honestly Thistle only realized after arriving in the Starfall Isles that while she insisted on keeping them safe, she had no idea how to go about doing that. She was too weak to learn the same skills as her older sibling and knew this terribly well; she expressed this concern to Ridley while Wicker had gone to train with Zevran, and they directed her to the clan’s mage in order to possibly learn healing magic. Rose was happy to teach her the ways of healing magic; if anything she thought it was wonderful to have someone so intelligent, and surprisingly mature for her age to talk to over a topic she sincerely adored. However she did find that Thistle had the small problem of colorblindness that made it a bit troubling for picking out healing herbs, and tried to direct her to magic and potions instead to make things easier. She will never admit it but Thistle is just a little bit stubborn like her sibling though, despite her limitation when it came to understanding the right herbs to use she still tries her best. Over time she became a talented healer for not just Wicker, but the entire clan and especially the guards. Often if they have to train particularly hard or defend the borders of the clan against Beastclans, they now trust Thistle to come along and keep everyone healthy. She’s even learned a bit of water magic to protect herself from danger if the guard can’t get to her in time. Even if it’s taken her some time she’s become fond of her clanmates, and has become surprisingly closer with her sibling than they ever were before. Lore by AbyssalKing |
