Biography

The Bounty of the Elements had made Plague dragons unstable.

It made Atrex unstable. It wasn't a reality he was eager to accept.

He no longer shied away from his Plague eyes, and rarely covered his face. The Rakraeti already knew of his heritage and largely didn't care. As for the outsiders...

Let them stare, Atrex thought indulgently. Let them know how strong I am to defy the Contagion with nothing but my will.

But the sickness stirred within him, restless and eager to be released. It hadn't used to be like this.

Atrex endured. The life he wanted left him no choice but to endure.

He needed more power - and what he needed, he was going to get.

The Forest's secrets wouldn't stay hidden from him forever.
