  • came to Rakraēt as Matsu's companion
  • tried to protect Matsu from falling rocks when they were clearing out passages in the mountain; gravely injured as a result of this
  • Matsu saw this as an unnecessary sacrifice and lost a measure of respect for her, believing he would have been able to protect BOTH of them with his magic had she not interfered and made him lose focus
  • healing was difficult; parts of Rathara's limbs (wings, legs and lower jaw) replaced with cybernetics by a reluctant Kieran, later enhanced by Sharr with runic magic
  • Rathara didn't regain the ability to fly; gained considerable strength, vitals improved as well
  • currently stays in the lowest cave complexes near Rakraēt's volcanic core to avoid the cold, which has a largely negative impact on her life-support systems; excessive exposure may cause them to shut down
  • Renarin might be able to enhance her cybernetics, but he still doesn't know she exists

Some, like Rathara, are not interested in ruling.

She could do it, of course, were she interested. But she isn't. Other dragons are tedious and exhausting. Most of them quite stupid as well. The only charge she needs to protect is the mountain.

It is so quiet, so warm, in its depths, close to the fires burning under rock.
