He's down below on the ground carving steles both to mark where the Burrow is (hey look up) and also as memorial and monuments. His whole thing with not being able to imbue power into the stone like his father isn't because he doesn't have power like his dad. He imbues memories into the rock that others can view if they touch them. :D It doesn't work for him though, which is why he thinks he can't do it.

But like the runecarvers, his power grows as he levels, so no one else is going to notice until he's a higher level either.

Travels into books with Archivist and Flap and then carves the memories of History.


Microlore: This dragon grew up in his father's shadow, eager to be just like him. But while he can read the runes and stones that his father carves, and though he can carve them himself, they will not imbue with power the way his father's stones will. He spent a long time in his youth learning to cope with disappointment.

Though he still longs to carve stones of power like his father, he has taken another path, and instead carves steles outside his clan territory. His steady hand and understanding of geometry has produced beautiful standing stones that recount the deeds of his clanmates and those who came before them, proclaiming them for all who pass by so that they may know. Some nights, he is still bitter for what he could have been, but mostly he has grown accustomed to his life as it is now.
