Ailia

Ailia was born in the Windswept Plateau, an abandoned egg of a mostly broken clutch. She did not know where her parents were or even where she really was, or who she really was, but the first thing she saw was a vision of an icy wasteland and an old tundra with white eyes. She was taken in by a guardian, wandering by searching for a charge for himself. He briefly raised her until she was old enough to fend for himself, then moved on when he decided he wasn't dedicated to being a parent.
Ailia was an anxious child, the constant storms and tearing winds of the Windswept Plateau scaring her away from flying for a long time, Ailia mostly wandering and trying to find safe places to rest each night, until one day something changed in her. She heard a gentle voice in the back of her mind, telling her to spread her wings. She did so, something innate making her trust this voice. A huge gust of wind flew by, quickly picking Ailia off the ground and throwing her into a raging storm of winds. Shrieking and fearing for her life, Ailia was tossed and thrown further and further, away from the ground, away from the little burrows and caves she'd made her home, and into the sky.

She came down over the Southern Icefield, hitting the frozen water with a smack, the cold knocking the breath out of her. She thought for sure she'd die, when an iceberg rose up beneath her, bringing her back to the surface and into the worried paws of the dragon from her vision, and her new life as the first member of the Iceborn clan began.
She grew up strong and smart, Cicero happily teaching her how to thrive on the Ice like he did, and Ailia herself leaning into the voices and prophecies she heard. Ailia was the one who found the next member of their little clan, Sandstorm, and quickly formed a close bond with him as well.

She is one of the most social members of the group and makes it her business to know every member of the clan fully, though every now and then she wishes she could go back to visit her home.
