The Cat Lover

He looks sinister. His obsidian scales and eerily shimmery wings. The kind of Imperial you wouldn't want to stay and have a chat with. Most assume he's some sort of space pirate that hangs around the crew or is plotting to betray them.

The crew knows better.

Sonchus is the most mild mannered sweet dragon they have ever met. He prefers tea and a nice book to bloody gore. He addresses everyone with little pet names and has a very faint accent. Sonchus is the ship therapist and also looks after the hatchlings.

He can be very easily flustered but is good at covering it up due to his black scales. Early on, Mortarion knitted him a soft, fluffy, (and garish) sweater. He adores said sweater and wears it all the time.

To be honest, people don't think he can be angry. (Oh, but he can be.)

He also loves his cats. The first showed up on one of their dockings and the Imperial smuggled it in with his sweater. Nobody could say no.

The rest showed up gradually until he was almost never seen without at least one cat clinging to him. They all have names as well. The black cat is Boo, the orange tabby is Zoom (because it never stops moving). The Maine **** is Missy and the Scottish fold is Casanova. Last but not least is the calico cat who was named after the ship, Cometary.

He adores young Chantieri, carrying the small dragon everywhere. He claims not to have a favorite but everyone knows it's her, the dragon he nursed back to health after her rescue.

"Oh dearie, those are just my cats. I do hope you're not allergic."
