Nicodemus

Demos's story is of little concern to him, and it is so that not many of the clan, or even his brother has ever heard it..
He came from a fae light clan who found his little hatchling self lost in their wood. He had a quiet childhood as he could not truly understand most of the fae's humming and going abouts. Though he did understand the danger of a dragon who lived in a cave within the wood's above the fae village. The fae's claimed he was dark, and cruel. Often little fae's would go missing, eaten by the dark within the cave.
As Demos grew, he became larger than all the faes and in turn larger than their camp. Soon they began to fear him, whispering that though the spells they had cast upon him made him light, he was becoming too much like the cave dragon.
Nicoli pretended not to hear, but finally one night, he slinked away to the cave...
Within the cave was a giant Emporer imperial dragon, dark, with many black eyes and fangs dripping with the blood of missing feas.
The Emporer was silent, only watching Demos approach, waiting.
Long into the night Demos waited for a greeting, and heard nothing..
It was with the morning light that the dragon stirred, and the light seemed to filter through him like he was a void. Demos gasped, and in his shock, brought about the dragon's own curiosity.
He did not invite Demos into the cave, nor did he explain who he was. Only began to talk in rambling.
Enchanted, not like the little ones... Your soul is not like the light...
He did not leave the cave for many moons..The Shaman taught him the ways of magic, and soon they unwove the spell of light that covered Nicoli's dark scales. Soon Demos was almost like the transparent dragon he now called teacher.
He was told the transparent way in which the dragon looked in light, was because he was of a darkness greater than shadow, he was of a darkness like that in the night sky, and within the light he was simply nothing. For the absence of light, is nothing.
It was upon learning that knowledge, the Shaman gave Demos his last task, and his name.
Nicodemus.
Demos task was to kill the tribe of light fae.
It took all night, and ended in tears.
Blood on his claws, and the screams of his family echoing in his ears, Demos ran from the cave, ran from the Shaman.
He found himself upon the land of the Plague. exhausted and having used all his powers to return the faes light spell, he collapsed on the doorstep of Nicoli, a lonely Imperial.
Nicolidid his best to heal the dragon's wounds, the light Demos had inflicted upon himself left searing gashes, and his wing's burned when he flew. In desperation Nicoli suggested they leave for arcane for their magic, and healing.
In the night Nicoli and Diemos left, as to avoid the sun and the pain it inflicted upon Demos. With the rising of the sun, they landed, and found a fae within the tower of learning, who was said to be a great healer.
The fae tsk'd and fretted, and eventually said if Demos ever left the arcane land, he could not be sure the spell would hold.
The Fea suggested they both go down to the town in, run by a loud and thick lashed obolisk named Captain Rose, only when they arrived she informed them quite loudly it was plum full of a caravan that had just arrived. She offered them drink, food and possible company upstairs, but no rooms at the Inn. However, they were approached by the two Skydancer's leading the band. King and Yonah were overjoyed to have them, and the nonjudgemental, even caring attitudes of the clansmates left both Nicoli and Demos relieved. They lived with the clan for several years before Diemos' Magical and Arcane studies left him living in the Arcane tower. After several disagreements upon the practices of magic, Diemos and Nicoli left the Yang clan.
Diemos studied in The Arcane Tower for several more years before he ever met his old clanmates again, under some very surprising circumstances...
Although he had not cut all ties with the clan. One Skydancer, Oasis often visited him in secret and he would spend many nights away from the Arcane Tower with her in secret.
