There are some wonders on the island of Arvarinar that have not been shared with many people. Celevon was one to behold such a wonder.

He himself was born on the island to two travelling dragons that had come to Arvarinar on a pilgrimage. They had come here and were enthralled by the beauty of the island, and, as if in a dream, laid eggs here as well, only realising that they were not quite ready for such a commitment when it was too late. But the island of Arvarinar was hospitable already in this time and age, so the other members of the community around the temple - then still a small group - offered to let the eggs hatch here, and to nurse the hatchlings until they were of age.

Of the three, one went to the icy south, while another went further north into the Viridian Labyrinth. One of them, however, decided to stay on this island, and he was called Celevon, since his scales had a silvery shimmer to them. The Herald took him in and raised him as though he was his own son, and Celevon grew to be a loving devotee of Lightweaver - some even said one could see her light in his eyes.

He learned the profession of being a priest, but his passion became obvious quite soon: When he first held a bow and arrows in his claws, he still was clumsy and often missed his aim, but more and more, he saw it as a sacred tasks of sorts. He began using the light within him to bless the arrows before he shot them, and never did he kill any being with one of these sacred arrows. It was clear to him, however, that the arrows possessed great might, and that the damage they would do would be enhanced by sunlight. He thus made it his task to grow even better at archery, and with time, he managed to master it.

But the arrows he blessed were not only powerful when being shot, he realised: those who carried them, by whichever chance, would be granted great luck, those who lost them would lose their luck as well and be exposed to destiny's mercy.

So, Celevon combined his passion and his profession and began blessing arrows for pilgrims so that they might be blessed with Lightweaver's favour. But it could not go on like that - evil was on its way, and the destruction of the sanctuary was almost there when Celevon decided to walk through the forests of Arvarinar one day.

Arvarinar's forests are of great size, and barely any of the inhabitants of the island know it well. Celevon's knowledge was not great enough even after decades of living and working here, it seems, for he - as many others before and after him - got lost in the forests. But not even his lack of knowledge of each twig and each rivulet was to be blamed for that. When he went out this evening to find wood that would be fit for creating arrows, he met a beautiful Imperial lady standing there in a clearing, looking around confusedly.

He approached her, and it did not seem to him like this dragon had been around others of her kind ever before. She could not speak to him, could not react to his questions, the only thing she seemed to try to do was to copy the gestures that Celevon did, as if to find out how such things work. Thus, Celevon called her "Cenedril", looking-glass. They stood there in the forest for a long time, and though Celevon does not remember, he still feels as though he had left Sornieth in these moments and gone to a marvelous faraway world. He was so far away that he froze in time, and never did he notice the destruction of the temple that followed soon after.

When they awoke from their dream-journey, the love between them was already growing strong. Being like a mirror, Cenedril immediately noticed Celevon's six tails and vulpine behaviour, but was not startled by them. So at first, Celevon had no mind to think of what might have happened to the rest of the island, and when he took Cenedril to see the island, he met Seimei and was shocked to hear what happened.

Regardless, Celevon's optimism is not rivaled by any of the other clan members. He immediately began helping to rebuild the temple and offered his services to Seimei, so that he might continue his blessings of arrows even when there were no worshipers to buy them. And because he is one to see life even when destruction and death seem to be around, it was barely a surprise that he and Cenedril soon built their own nest. Their daughter would later become the highest ranking priestess of that being that had raised Celevon long ago. They had another daughter as well, but she was abducted by a bloodthirsty clan from the Shifting Expanse before they could name her, and sacrificed to their deity without honour or mercy.
