Kaimae was once a very organized dragon, but taking over as historian for the clan of Kaiana put a lot of stress on her. The tasks she took on for the role even tampered with her ability to read the emotions of those around her. Luckily, she has her good companion Zeneres, a young Serthis she once rescued; he looks out for her when everyone else is too busy, helping her reorganize documents and books when she forgets to put them back, fetch things around the clan that she might need, and run errands for her when she's too busy writing documents for the clan.

It's not uncommon to find piles of feathers in her home, as she sheds them quite often whenever she starts to panic. Fortunately, they seem to replace themselves as quickly as they fall out, so she doesn't appear too sickly; the previous historian had been lost to sickness, so the clan was fearful of what may happen to Kaimae. It also keeps her from having to constantly buy new quills, as the one she's using is usually worthless within a couple of hour of writing. She takes her job seriously, and as such often neglects even the most basic needs; but Zeneres is always there for her, regardless of what the clan thinks.
