Mate : Emeberyl is very interested in Shiai. For now, they are not bonded.
Familiar : Hyacinthe, male Sprouting Goblin. Silent, mysterious, calm and quiet. Homus, male Peacevine Aardvark. Hyacinth cultivates flowers on its back.
Bonds : Little brother of Aemyth, Thystae, Mystblade, Azeblade and Cidulae. Brother of Myrteerie and Elyäh. Big Brother and flying teacher of Tyharval.
Speciality : Competitions, especially flying sports ; collecting rare objects

I adopted Emberyl and his clan brothers Myrteerie and Elyäh the same day, the day after the one we adopted Cidulae.

Maddi is a Dryad and took a strong liking on Emberyl after long months of looking at him from afar. She finally had the courage to present herself to him - she said she was guided towards him by her strong sense of nature magic, which wasn't surprising ocnsidering the amount of nature creatures the Gladekeeper sent to Emberyl. (the aspen gall dryad is her autumn/winter form)

This aardvark is known for its strange ritual of hibernating above ground in the middle of spring, only to awaken again during autumn. It then spends a very productive winter below ground.

Stats :
Emberyl is proud to be a very tall Skydancer and is average weight is all muscles due to an active practise of sports. But he as rather small wings. He likes to fly at dawn and twilight and is a good flyer, but he had to practise a lot to find his own peace of flying with a big body and small wings. But Emberyl still looks elegant : he aways thought his body was beautiful and that he only had to hightlight it properly, and never had any complexes about it... or if he had, only Myrterrie knows it. Emberyl makes a big difference in our children's education thanks to that state of mind, and is able to help them find their own way of flying.

Personnality

Emberyl is a joyful mischievious kind dragon. He has a lot of energy and likes to fly during dawn and twilight. He likes to be the first in whatever he competes. He is very proud of what he looks like and of the beautiful, glittering colour of his wings, but he doesn't boast. He is very good in all kind of flying sports and is rather brilliant in most of subjects, thanks to both his natural gifts and his hard work to be the best. However, he is desperately hopeless in magic. He is in perpetual competition with Mystblade.
He likes to read and tell epic stories of heroes realizing exploits.
He’s fascinated by all that’s shimmering, glowing and sparkling brightly, and by the rare things. He’s quite a collector and likes to gather unique and highly valued things. He can also be a seducer, as his passion for collecting beautiful treasures can be expanded to dragons, but he’s not cruel and isn’t that much interested in women for now.
He dreams to be the champion of his clan, with all the other cheering him up, for him to realize some exploit. He wants to realize something big, but he doesn’t know what.

Childhood

Maybe because Myrteerie always seeks the presence of their brother Elyäh - who doesn't seem to like being disturbed all the time - Emberyl went easier to meet his clan sisters, especially Cidulae and Thystae. He developed a kind of brotherhood rivalry with Mystblade.

Emberyl as a child :
Teenage age
When he grew up enough to begin to do his part of the job in the clan, he didn’t know where to go. He wasn’t a fighter but didn’t want to go out gather supplies. By default, he decided to help managing the camp. He offered himself to help guard the nest, the eggs and the hatchlings, and so he became a kind of nurse. That’s not what he dreams of, but as a Skydancer he is good with understanding others and he prefers to be useful here (according to him, that is better than the other jobs).
He is trying to define his way in life, and what he can do to be up to his ambitions.

During this period, he participated into his first Greenskeeper Gathering since he left his birth clan. He seems quite uncomfortable during these days, and I assume that’s because he felt the need to come closer to the Nature and to the deity who imbued him with Her elemental powers, despite his natural unconcern of Gods and magic. Although, it seems that he enjoyed it after all, but when he came back after having a day of celebration, he was followed by a silent male Sprouting Goblin who didn’t seem to agree to leave him alone anymore. Emberyl wasn’t exactly happy, and as he said rather angrily, “it should be one of the Gladekeeper’s minion send to watch over a dissipated subject”… but maybe he is mistaking and the little goblin is just totally fond of him. Emberyl is always grumbling and complaining about his familiar, but, in fact, he is rather satisfied with his aesthetic sense and his discreet presence. He named him after a few days Hyacinthe. He is very quiet and even quite mysterious – and he enjoys to grow some beautiful flowers Emberyl likes to pick as ephemeral ornament.

When Tyharval came to camp by herself, he was here to welcome her. As she stayed the only hatchling of the camp during a few days, it was his responsibility to take care of her and he tried his best. He took the initiative to offer to Sedewus to write a letter to her parents’ clan in order to reassure them about her – it was accepted as a great idea and by then, Emberyl took the role of Clan Ambassador, helping Sedewus and I with the relations with the other clans thanks to his natural abilities in understanding others and his warm personality.
Emberyl became quite close to Tyharval, teaching her flying at dawn and twilight, finally considering himself as her big brother.
