Biography

Juko

Clan Trickster | Canine Biologist
—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–——–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—
Juko was found as a hatchling, wandering in the woods with a pack of coyotes. Bonegnawer and his mate took her in, thinking that the little mirror would do better with dragons than canines. Juko knows she's not a coyote... but she's pretty sure she's actually a fox. She spends her afternoons running in the woods with her pack of coyotes, though she also studies wolves, foxes, and other wild canines. She knows she's a fox though, because she loves to climb trees. Her adopted parents really don't care what animal she associates with, as long as she's helpful to the clan. She brings home food every once in awhile, just to make sure she's keeping up with her duties. Usually small rodents. Strangely enough, she can only catch them when she's facing north...

When not studying her beloved canines, hanging out in a tree, or pouncing on mice, Juko has found that she's a natural trickster, and an excellent illusionist. She often performs illusions and slight of hand to amuse (and occasionally frustrate) her clanmates. She is never mean with any of her tricks or pranks. Usually she only messes with dragons who "really deserve it," and she only steals from dragons who aren't a part of her clan. She enjoys accompanying Ragabash on her trading missions though, so she can play tricks on dragons who don't know that she's a swindler. These trips are generally very profitable.

Juko is shy at first but she's clever, lighthearted, fun, and a loyal friend, as long as you treat other dragons nicely (so as not to invoke her sense of karmic retribution), and don't try to take her food. She also makes a lot of really strange noises and has an intense love of fog. She will often hide in trees on foggy days and jump down onto unsuspecting dragons. Her best friend is Sunshower, and the two often run through the woods together on warm rainy days.
