Elster
Elster is one of the older dragons in the clan, and a close friend to Nine and Cilla. When Venia was more of a gardener than an alchemist, he was her partner, and he inherited a love of gardening from that time. Over the years, Venia became more twisted and distant, and Elster decided he couldn't support her any more. She still hold it against him. He dutifully maintains the clan's expansive gardens with the skills she taught him, enjoying the work more as he grows older.
He's mated to Daybreak, an ambitious wildclaw a few years younger than him. He's content to go along with her ideals to a point, but gently redirects her when he feels its necessary. She listens to his quiet advice more often than not. Perhaps it is out of respect for her that when his friend and leader Cilla makes a questionable decision, he chooses to have faith in her and in Daybreak's conviction on the matter.
Even so, something in him wilts when the gardens are trampled beneath warring feet. It is only after his work as a gardener is damaged beyond repair that he starts packing his belongings, preparing for a pilgrimage that feels like it may well be his last.
