Though she has her mother's skill in the arts of war, books are her great love. She spent her days as a hatchling underfoot in her father's library, learning every part of the process - how to identify well-written materials that fit their collection and the needs of their clan, how to catalog and organize those books and scrolls so that other dragons might easily find them in a vast hoard, how to mend damaged items so that they could still be read, and how to best ward and seal magical books so that they wouldn't damage other items...or any dragons reading them. She loved her father's library, but she nevertheless looked forward to venturing out and finding a library of her own to care for and organize.

She loves handling tomes and thrills at the knowledge of the ages in her care, but she pays equal attention to the dragons who patronize her hoard of texts. She is patient enough to listen to long-winded, rambling, convoluted tales and glean from them what information that dragon is seeking, then help him find it. She nurtures hatchlings, teaching them how to read, how to find books that might interest them, learning their hopes and their dreams and helping them pursue their passions. She knows the scholars - what they're researching, what new books have been written in their field that they might like. She respects those who come to the library simply in search of a bit of quiet. Most of all, she loves secrets and mysteries and will stop at nothing to track down an elusive fact or line of text in order to help one of her patrons.

When Viola first set foot in the Crystal Toadstool's library, she was shocked. It was huge, seemingly well-stocked, but entirely uncared for. Cobwebs tangled in the corners of the shelves and dust lay in thick layers atop haphazard piles of books. A lone Skydancer sat in a corner of the room, seemingly the only dust-free spot in the whole place, pouring over ancient tomes, a single candle flickering across the desk. She remembered what the clan leaders had told her. 'Ajax tends to the library's magical texts. He will help you get acquainted.' ~~~~~~~
