Biography

The granddaughter of Regan, the traveling tundra who leaves love and hatchlings wherever she goes. It is her dream to follow in her pawsteps and breed many little fluffballs in many different clans.

neutralvs1.png

This affectionate tundra has traveled far from her home lair (Volrin, #261879), and now she's off to bring more fluffy little ones into the world. If ever you feel the need to exalt or sell, she'd really appreciate it if you could escort her back to her home lair, or pass her on to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here. This is not necessary, but she would be very grateful!

"You are a gift to this world," Love smiled softly as she spoke to the newly-hatched Tundras, "a shining ray of light in a land of cruelty and darkness. Much like my mother did before me, I want you all to go out into this world and help spread our cause--bring more unconditional fluffy love to the clans that need it dearly." The next morning, she was gone; off to another lair, to lay her next nest of eggs.
Affection vowed to fulfill her mother's wish; she would bring soft cuddles and love to the dragons of Sornieth that needed support. -Volrin

Affection had flown far before pausing to drink some water from a lone rock. The water was kind of low from the rock and she ended up flying to get a good drink. However, unknown to her, there was a hatchling about her age that jumped down from above, having not seen her, and plunged them both into the water. Affection struggled to swim to the top, her furred body weighing her down. Suddenly four small arms looped around hers and pulled her out and back to the top of the edge.

"I'm so sorry, I didn't see you!" a small dark scaled Pearlcatcher said quickly. She tried to brush the water from the tundra's coat to little avail. "I really like to swim, that's my favorite jumping spot actually. Oh, I'm Saa!" she introduced herself.

"I'm Affection."

"You're our age, aren't you?" A different Pearlcatcher asked. Affection nodded. "That's cool! Maybe you can stay with us for a while!" the second female replied. Once they made sure Affection was ok to walk, they all made their way back to the clan's cave. The clan called Neverland was in the Crystalline Reaches, nestled into a cliff face. Inviting grass poked from the enterance of the cave and inside was good joy and chatter. Affection smiled at this but was also nervous. How was she suppose to bring love to a place already so full of it? When they entered, she was even slightly more intimidated as there were at least 3 Tundras already living there. A brightly colored Wildclaw approached the three.
"Hello! Welcome to Neverland!" he exclaimed with a grin. Affection smiled.

"Thank you. My name is Affection."

Affection grew up with the two Pearlcatchers that helped her, along with their brother. She spent a lot of her time with the triplets, growing up with them and going on lots of gatherings with them.

She began getting butterflies around the triplets. She thought it might be for the brother, Loughrey. He was pretty nice looking. One gathering session between Affection and Loughrey, Loughrey admitted to having feelings for her. Affection replied that she returned those feelings. When they arrived back being affectionate to each other, Saa seemed different. Affection couldn't figure out why, or why Saa began avoiding hanging out with her and her siblings when they did activities they use to do together.

Once Affection and Loughrey had a nest to help continue her grandma's legacy as well as because they loved each other, Affection fell into a quiet state of mind. Something inwardly wasn't right. The next day, her troubles spread outward. Saa had left in the middle of the night. Not even Itan had seen where she left. She was... lost now. Affection felt something so strong, it kept her silent until hatching day, only speaking a few times. No matter what anyone did, the feeling would not go away. She continued to study it day and night inwardly, confused by it.

On hatching day, she seemed to have pulled herself together. She looked at her kids with a smile. "You are treasures to this world. Spread your knowledge of love and its mystic powers through out this land and all of them around it. You are my special bundles of fluffy love, and I want you to go and help me spread love throughout. Find clans that need your help and bring them unconditional love."

After saying this, she went around thanking everyone for their hospitality and everything they did for her. She gave goodbye hugs with a few tearful ones. She then returned to Loughrey and huggged him. She gave his forehead a kiss before saying, "I'm sorry, but my heart belongs to Saa."

And with this statement, she left to spread her love. Her eyes were tearful as she flew off, her kids reminded her of the crystal ocean she had accidently been pushed into by Saa. She needed to continue her mother's misson. But her heart screamed for Saa. -ConfusedKing

Affection found great joy in wandering the paths of Sornieth - somehow, traveling by foot made the world less distant than soaring on the winds, and even if she met fewer dragons this way, she found she made a great difference to those she did meet, most of all because a grand majority of them were flightless, and for this reason, they treasured company even more.

That day, she had shared a cup of tea with a Snapper merchant, and left him behind a few coins lighter, but several bags of tea heavier. It had been a very pleasant start to the day, so she anticipated the rest of the day would be very much the same.

Unfortunately for her, this wasn't the case: She thought she'd take a shortcut through the Mire, for which she was sorely unequipped. The beastclans there were surprisingly agile and terrifyingly strong. A trio of Kamaitachi chased her across a swamp, and Tundras don't do very well in swamps. She got stuck up to her knees, and thought she was done for, when someone approached and scared them off.

Once she was awake again, she found herself alone, tucked in by a large tree. Safe and sound, far away from the Mire, with no clue as to who had rescued her. - Zikul

Affection looked all around, trying to catch a glimpse of who had rescued her. She soon realised she had been brought to the Viridian Labyrinth by an intimidating-looking Wildclaw. "Hello," the Wildclaw said, "Are you okay now? I was just out in the Mire when I saw you surrounded by some Kamaitachi. Scary things, huh?"

"Y-Yeah, they are," stuttered Affection, shuddering just at the thought.

"Here, lets head back to my clan. You can stay if you'd like?" the Wildclaw kindly offered.

"I'll be happy to stay the night, but I need to continue my journey at dawn," Affection replied, looking at the flora and fauna surrounding her.

"What journey?" the Wildclaw said.

Affection explained all about the journey she was on, whilst following the Wildclaw back to her clan. A large Guardian met them at the entrance, accompanied by many other curious dragons. One of them offered her a cup of tea, but she kindly declined as she was already full due to her adventures earlier in the day. When it started to get dark, she and the other dragons nestled up in the leaves and went to sleep.

Affection was up at dawn, ready for her new adventures. She was careful not to disturb any of the other dragons, but the Guardian that she had meet yesterday was already awake.

"Leaving so soon?" she said.

"Yes. My journey is very important to me," Affection replied.

The Guardian nodded in approval. Affection smiled and started to head off towards the unknown. -Minxwolfie

"Goin' somewhere?" Affection twitched from her statuesque vigil of watching the sun rise. A few seconds passed, before she realized just 'what' she was looking at besides the Sea of Thousand Currents. A Snapper with his thick feet standing on a... giant airship? Certainly his getup made him look dapper, if not mechanical.

"Away from here." she answered. "I am on a journey." The Snapper gave her a long look, sizing her up. Bits of swamp muck still clung to her ankle fur.

"Come aboard. Ship's heading for the Windswept Plateau." Carefully, the Tundra landed on the deck. For such a colorful airship, mixing blues and greens and a bit of beiges, it appeared sturdily built.

"Capt! We've got a new passenger!" the Snapper bellowed, jarring Affection's hearing.

"TOP O' THE MORNIN' LAD-Y!" His claws twining around the steering wheel, a rough and tumble Imperial saluted her with his tail. "Welcome to my humble vessel, The Trial~. Making a big ol' loop 'round the world!"

"Our clan doesn't have a specific home, so we wander and walk and it's no place for air runners..." the Snapper muttered as he passed to loud shouts of adjusting the masts for a round-about.

"Your clan sounds fascinating! I'd like to go to the Windswept Plateau."

"YO HO HO, AND A ROUND ABOUT RUN! AHOY DONNIE, WE BE BOUND FOR THE ASCENT!" -ZephyrWindSpirit

The storm had come up out of nowhere, blustering and blazing, and what had begun as a pleasant flight over the Windswept Plateau, waving wings and claws at her back from the cheerful (if a bit eccentric) lot about The Trial, had ended in a blur of pain, heat, and violence. She wasn't entirely sure where over the Ashfall Waste she had blundered into the blazing firestorm, but as she shifted into wakefulness she was grateful to see that, at the very least, she wasn't nearly as singed and burnt as she could have been.

The smell of crisped fur reached her nose before much else and she snuffled unhappily, her ears pinning back tightly as she struggled to open her eyes. When she did, Affection flinched backward with a squeak, her smoking fur buzzing with static as she scraped backwards over the smooth slate beneath her. The cause of her surprise snorted, blowing out a hot wave of air that made her wince, and straightened to her full height, glaring rudely down her nose.

"Still alive." The guardian's voice was low and rumbled in her chest like rolling thunder, oddly fitting to the deep, cruel red eyes she sported. She turned, setting that harsh gaze elsewhere, and a second face moved into Affection's view. This dragon did not speak, but despite the binding over his eyes he seemed to see her quite clearly, his maw quirking in very faint amusement. She had the vaguest sense that the Wildclaw, his claws and horns glowing faintly with runes, was more impressed that she was alive, than relieved.

"That was a nasty bit of temper you hit." A second voice, infinitely more cheerful, drew Affection's attention to nearly behind her, where a deep blue spiral covered in bright green markings grinned widely at her. "Indefinite, at your service." He bowed his head, considerably farther than necessary, and showed far too many teeth in a laugh, "It's good you're not dead! We weren't looking forward to hiding the body."

Affection gaped, surprised into silence at the Spiral's commentary and perhaps even more surprised to realize that she was certain he wasn't joking. Indefinite, bright blue eyes sparkling merrily, rose easily to his feet, his body uncurling and uncurling and uncurling as he hummed and began to walk away, the clicking of his claws on stone transitioning to the soft crunch of very dry ground as he went, "Well! Come along then. If you aren't dead we had better feed you before our boss finds out we didn't."

She stayed there, sprawled out on the stone, for longer than she'd thought before the low growl of the guardian startled her enough to get to her feet, wincing as her sore muscles and bruised body was made to work. "Where...ah.." her throat was dry and her voice cracked unpleasantly as she swallowed, finally taking a moment to take in the view around her, "...where am I?" Scrub land stretched as far as she could see, a great dusty expanse of dead trees, white bone, and the occasional cropping of thick, dark slate stones balanced on thin rocky legs. It wasn't the rich, fiery land she had been exploring, nor the whistling greenery of the plateau she had left.

A soft chuckle was her reply and she looked at the Wildclaw as he stepped gingerly up onto the rock, his large predatory claw held delicately away as he maneuvered around her and helped her to lift and tuck away the injured wing she had been too dumbstruck to realize was trailing. "Shifting Expanse." He rumbled, voice as quiet as it was deep and very clearly rarely used. He turned his head, indicating the guardian who continued to glare angrily, Megatronus?" The guardian's glare deepened, if possible, but with a shared moment between the two she grudgingly tossed her head and snorted loudly.
"The Sandswept Clan." She growled, looking down her nose at Affection. "A group of misfits and freaks," she bared her teeth at the wildclaw, who rumbled in amusement, "somehow coerced into teamwork by a tiny sprocket of a fae who you will meet later." She worked her jaw and Affection leaned back, somewhat expecting the rude creature to spit, but she instead slumped slightly, sighing. "They are a good sort. We'll fix your wing and send you on your way."

Affection swallowed and nodded. With the assistance of the wildclaw, "Soundwave.", he had murmured when she asked, and the guardian, Affection made the traipse back to the large expanse of tunnels and caves the Sandswept called home and settled in to heal and to watch one of the oddest examples of a family she'd encountered yet. Not long after her wing was healed. she thanked the wildclaw and left to be on her way once again

The concept of Family had taken a new form in Clan Cross, Affection had noticed. Adoption was prevalent among this clan, from the Skydancer Glint having adopted the fae, Beltane. This same fae shooting three hatchlings of her own: Beloved the Bogsneak, Kileth the Pearlcatcher, and Thyme the fae. Not to say there weren't 'traditional' families in a sense. The founders had their daughter, one of the new leaders had their son, among others.
Affection was also taken by how everyone treated each other like family, like brothers and sisters. The clan was a family, a unit. It was warm to be there and interact with the clan but she did detect a wall. A block that kept them from getting just a bit to familiar with her. She couldn't begrudge them for it, she was a visitor after all. While she enjoyed her time with Clan Cross, it wasn't long before she decided it was time to move on.

After trenching far into the Emberglow Hearth. Affection stumbles and almost falls straight into
a decently size pool of lava but something or someone grabs her tail harshly pulling her back onto a small obsidian slab. Affection looked up and saw a black and grey dragon with feirce tiger stripes and brilliant fire colored wings staring at her.
"My name is KingFiregem and who might you be?" He speaks smoothlie but its strong and confident as the same. Affection gulps "well im Affection" she stands shaken. Firegem flaps his wings gently creating a small cooler breeze and affection
sighs in relief of the temporarily temperature change. " The dragons here are used to the heat, but in the caves are cooler. If you would like you can stay with our clan for awhile. Just really intill you get used to the heat and can continue whatever you were doing before you almost fell to a fiery death ." he motions his claw to 1 of the bigger caves. " oh and by the way im not really a king but everyone called me their King Gem, fireball, gemstones so i created my own wonderful name at least i think its wonderful" He smiles and then pulls up his hood and walks to the cave making sure affection can keep up. " Thank you for your clans kindness but i wount be staying for long i have a journey to complete my own task more or less" she yawns. "I would like to know you story if you would not mind telling it" Firegem sits down on a stone slab with a paper and quil in hand. Affection sits down opposite of him and tells him everything. He writes almost everything down. "Amazing Story" he puts the story with the other dragons stories. Affection curls up and falls alseep.

Hours later when its dark she wakes up to a Curious dragon watching her as he scribbles on a scrap of paper. H"Hi" he says joyfully "my name is LemonLeaf
and im your guide well ...basically" he shrugs and tosses his paper down and pads over to affection who sat up quickly. "im affection" Affection smiled. This dragon made her happy but she was unsure of this dragon at the same time. LemonLeaf shakes her paw very quickly and starts his tour of their little clan site. About of couple weeks later affection grew attached to lemonleaf and she told him how she felt. HE gleams with joy he said he felt the same since he laid his green windish eyes on her. They laid a nest together not long after that night of 4 eggs. Once they hatched she spoke to her hatching, " You are thee treasures to this world. Spread your love and of its powers with everyone. You are my special bundles of fluffy love, and i want you to go and help clans in need of love and affection.". She turned to Lemonleaf who looked sad with grief because he already felt and knew what she was going to do. "i must go and continue my mission maybe one day we will meet again." she hugged Lemonleaf and turned to leave "i will never forget you my family" she said and started off to continue her mission. "and i you" lemonleaf signed with grief and took the crying hatching's into the cave before they could take off after their mother."
-Lwolf (Lunawispwolf helped with Biopart)
After she left Lwolf cave she decided she needed to turn home first to her first lair she missed home. She needed to see her home family she missed them terribly and soon after her long journey she will see them again soon.
Flying over the Sea of a Thousand Currents was a faster route home, and so she took the path. Somewhere after the Shoredeep Passage, a lean skydancer nearly flew straight into her.

"Oh!" he cried, "Sorry about that, ma'am." His armour was scuffed and pinned with decorations. "Let me make it up to you." He guided her to land on a small island in the sea. "Is there anything we could provide you? It's a hard flight across the seas, and you don't exactly seem like the sort to have lived here your whole life."

It was certainly a change from her last encounter. "No," she replied carefully, "thank you, though. I've got everything I need. I've only just left from my last home anyway, so I'm well-stocked. Just trying to get home, you know."

"Maybe an escort?"

Affection shuffled awkwardly. Really, she just wanted to get home as quickly as possible, but this dragon seemed determined to help. Well, she decided, it couldn't hurt. Maybe she could learn of some good places to go after her visit home.

The flight was awfully silent, with the skydancer all but refusing to talk. She learned but a few things: that his name was Emerentius, that he was a guardsman, and that he belonged to a small, unnamed clan. In this last point, he took an odd amount of pride, his chest swelling when he relayed it.

He parted from her with a simple bow once she was beyond his clan's territory; a shorter distance than she would have liked, but one she accepted. "Perhaps we will meet again, tundra."
