Biography

====
Grove Fern Prehnite

Within the platforms tied together in the sky above the Zephyr Steppes lies Clan Rook, one of the most diverse and accepting clans of all- and within it, on a platform defined by the books held down with all sorts of stones and crystals, lives one of the most unique dragons in the entire gathering. Verity is a sweet sort of girl, a homebody who spends her time writing stories of adventure and romance, researching all kinds of things, and taking care of herself as best she can.

At one point, before she found herself residing in this place, she was a great adventurer and warrior; though she took no pride in battle, she was a charismatic leader, always there for her allies and ready to spare an enemy so long as they laid down their arms and swore not to get into needless combat anymore. She was known for the way her scales seemed to be reflective, and the morning sun would just about blind anybody facing her way as it shone through the crystalline parts of her body- and though it did inhibit her flying capabilities due to the additional weight, she was then known as a beacon of hope to all, the bringer of truth within such a false, deceptive thing as war.

After a particularly close scuffle with a Plague-aligned Fae, she was ‘cursed’ with gembond disease- but she rather found it quite the blessing, for the rocks jutting through her scales were actually surprisingly painless, and whenever they became too heavy to bear and fell off, they made lovely, natural paperweights. That was when she finally opted to abandon the battlefield position and travel to the skies, on the advice of an old friend of hers- she would be one of the few dragons who worshipped the Lightweaver and Her ideas, yes, but everyone was accepting enough of that. When she arrived and began to build her own makeshift lair, she realized that she would no longer have to be a leader of innocent dragons into something as horrid as that.

Now, Verity is sort of the mother of the lair, often reading stories to the hatchlings and teaching them about the world around them. Nobody can deny that she has seen unspeakable atrocities, and on occasion she merely looks forward, forlorn look on her face. Despite the past, she believes in moving towards a peaceful future with her friends, becoming a better dragon due to the differences between them rather than getting into petty fights over it. Why should you claw and bite your way to an understanding, after all, when you can discuss over a book and some tea?
