Dior
Alchemist

Current
Dior is a gentle spirit, though a solemn one. She studied as an alchemist for many years, following Baldwin's lessons for a time before setting off on her own to find new, more precise methods of transmutation. Considering the random outcomes of Balwin's teachings, she became increasingly frustrated by the lack of an ability to choose what she created. Out on her own, she had a knack for testing less than safe practices, as well as more obscure, forbidden ones.

After a time, she wanted to try the most infamous of alchemical brews; the one that turns any object to gold. Her success began her downfall, however.

When her ladle turned gold in the metallic scented and sparkling liquid, she knew she had done it, and created the legend and myth. That gold crept up her ladle, however, and before she knew what was happening, it corrupted her hands as well. It did not affect dragon kind like it did random objects; it sunk beneath her skin and changed her chemistry and blood, the gold virus taking over. Her entire being, from mouth, teeth to organs and blood are either a solid gold, or coated in molten gold. Even her eyes became hard gold in their sockets, leaving her blind.

She has linked herself instead to her snake familiar, who sees for her. Her hands are stiff and hard to move, bones beneath her skin the metal as well. Thankfully, only her hands became affected like that. Unfortunately, she is forced now to wear gloves, as anything she touches turns to solid gold as well; a Midas Curse. The gloves themselves turned to gold, though her magic does not go past that, thankfully.

The curse has left her bitter, but she tries not to show it. Dior finds it hard to preform most daily tasks, but she has learned to manage with the aid of others. The Sheep Clan is the best place for her now; few others want the risk of a magical tainted dragon.
