Node is a fairly recent arrival to the lair of Clan Arkatek, having heard about it from members who had passed through, or taken residence in, her own Clan. She came out of a sense of curiosity, of wonder, and a quest for knowledge. It was the stories of grand libraries that drew her here, but the dragons that have caused her to stay.

A very quiet, lithe dragon, Node can often be found holed up in a corner, or a nook somewhere with a book, immersing herself in histories and tales. When not found there, she can usually be found either talking to Lore or Perl, or just perched in the back of Shadow’s workshop, watching him work.

She’s also, as of late, tried her claw at writing her own books, but hasn’t had much success. She much prefers seeing the many perspectives of the various authors of the books, rather than trying to put her own down. She can be somewhat insecure about her own talent – or her perceived lack thereof – so she hasn’t told anyone about her writing.

When she’s not doing anything related to literature, she enjoys working with Fortran in helping the Mith. They’re just so cute, and cuddly and… oh, they don’t like that. Whoops. She still enjoys working with them… even if they’re certainly less cuddly in their armour. And can get a bit irritable. Alright, so generally she just watches…

Sometimes, some of the other dragons can get a bit annoyed with Node at the bond she shares with Shadow, but she doesn’t pay any attention to that. And the truth is that what other dragons believe is probably far from the truth. She enjoys the closeness and acceptance of Shadow, while he likes having a close, quiet confident that he can just talk to about anything.

Sometimes she wishes that she could go on adventures like she reads in some of her books, or go back and see the ancient events detailed in other texts, but that usually goes away as she realizes that being stuck in one adventure would probably be pretty boring after a while.
