Just like elemental dragons, trans-elemental dragons are shouldered with the responsibility to watch over and protect a specific element and its balance in the world. They serve the ruling dragon of that element and, despite their varying characters and tempers, all take their work very seriously.


Though unlike elemental dragons, who are born in the flight of the element they will serve in, trans-elemental dragons are born in a flight that does not correspond with the element they are destined to serve. They carry characteristics of both elements, but their destined element dominates for the most part.

Trans-elemental Fire dragons who were born in the Plague flight share a lot of similarities with regular elemental Fire dragons: They are strong-willed, direct and just.
The Plague influence can’t be ignored though and makes them more cunning and violent than regular elemental Fire dragons, though the intensity of any characteristic varies greatly from dragon to dragon.

Born between ashes and disease, Feuervogel has very soon developed an immunity to most kinds of illnesses and an exceptional healing factor. Despite his flight, he had never felt the same liking for morbid things most of the other Plague dragons did and his sense of justice had earned him many disapproving looks throughout his life in the Scarred Wasteland. Added to this, he had always had a strange attraction to fire and so, when he found out that he could control it and was actually a trans-elemental Fire dragon, his surprise was limited.

Feuervogel travelled to the Ashfall Waste where he underwent a rigorous training under a Maester who taught him the ways and responsibilities of elemental dragons.
A few years later, when he had completed his training, Feuervogel began to travel the continent, wondering where the Fire would lead him to fulfill his mission. It brought him to the Sunbeam Ruins, where he found a clan who counted the trans-elemental Water dragon Wasserspeier among its members.

Noticing that the Water dragon’s presence had influenced the clan to become somewhat skittish and wasteful, he realized that his mission had led him here to bring back balance into the clan’s life. And as he stayed, the members of the clan became more peaceful and economical.

Eventually a third trans-elemental dragon - this time of the Nature element - was drawn to the clan by the strong presence of Fire and Water.
And while there sometimes are quarrels, Feuervogel, Wasserspeier and Waldgeist have become good friends, maintaining a healthy balance of elements in the clan who prospers in return.
