 MOZU the VILLAGE HERO 🍁🍁🍁 Mozu lives on a farm far, far away from the mainstay of the Refuge. She and Donnel built it together after agreeing that the stuffy, wet forest around the town was no place for them - much less to pursue a shared interest in farming. Contrary to belief, Mozu built the house herself. A plowed field and sewn seeds will always reap harvest with a little care, but buildings do not have any interest in reaching towards the sun or nailing itself together. Much the opposite, actually, but once the house was shackled together, the barn was raised, the stable erected, and the fields bore food there came a new problem. When you have children, they need rooms to stay in, and Mozu always promised to keep their rooms open should they ever need to return. Well, in exchange of them taking up their chores again, of course. This, however, lead to some strange architecture. Rooms are half-stacked, half-piled around a handsome main building with a wide and partially obfuscated porch. Odd spires of staircases lead off into a maze of partial hallways and bedrooms. Despite Mozu's craftsmanship, the only wood to build with was half a world away. And thus came the homey, warm underground rooms that were much beloved by moody teens. Although they make enough food for themselves at the farm, the refuge pays well for their crops. Mozu often takes the trek herself, whether alone or with her children it's clear that despite the peril they remain safe. Proficient with a great deal of movement training, she is quick to saddle up anything with two to four feet and a heartbeat and even quicker to teach her progeny. With a life so full of new blooms and new leaves to turn, she doesnt often recall where she came from before ending up in the refuge. |
