GWENNA the FOX 🦊🦊🦊
The middle child of the first clutch from Donnel and Mozu, incidentally also the child who forged the list of rules for the house. A known trickster and professional slacker, Gwenna took to the bow relatively soon in life - mostly because mother told her not to.

She'd be often found at dusk in the cool night air, arrow nocked and ears pricked for the sound of sparrowmice rustling in the fields. Her aim became sharp, her ears as deft as her eyes when it came to shooting. She protected the crops quietly, the only sound the rush of the bowstring and sigh of arrows being pulled from quiver. There was a point, however, that the family did not know of her hunting and questioned why she held onto the bow.

However, her nightly escapades went unnoticed by all but her elder brother. She would have had her bow taken if she hadn't produced the mice she shot, or if he didn't vouch on her behalf. It seemed her roguish nature and secrecy didn't always reap positive things. Mozu and Donnel never did have a farm-cat, so the mousing was a blessing of itself. After that, she had their graces - and their training.

On her first trip to town Gwenna was swift to notice any oncoming galewolves and often the first shot upon them. Her movement was her only downfall, often too preoccupied with aiming to bother with her feet. Tripping into her younger sibling was a blatant issue, petty spats rose from it - but her older brother was quick to ease the tension.

Their shipment of horses and crops was a valuable one, they handled it with care - and protection. However, Mozu knew the siblings we not destined for foot combat and gifted each a horse. They were traveling through the sunpan plains after all - it was a good a place as any to learn how to ride. After that, the team dynamic went from passable to excellent. No single monster had the endurance or speed to reach the cart. With the wisdom of the newfound steed under her, rider and beast became fast friends.

And then they reached the forest surrounding Refuge. Notoriously craggy, thick with fog, and every leaf slick with rain. Even the main path was a thin deer-trail through the woods - and they had the misfortune of camping there.

With her mother, brother, and sister asleep the woods came alight with the sounds of night. It was a comfort to be awake at this time, and it happened to save her life. A fungalhoof Qiriq brushed through the undergrowth mere yards away from where her family was sleeping, its many sickly-green eyes glowing in the dim fog. An arrow was nocked whisper-quiet, breath steadied as she pulled back.

The Qiriq charged before she got to full pull, panic flooded her and she yanked the bowstring back. It snapped forwards at wicked speed, the only sound the shriek of the beast as the arrow lodged between its pale, glossy eyes. The body came crumbling to a stop before her very feet - dead. Had it not been for her swift reflexes and love of night, their family life would have ended before it could truly begin.

Upon selling their cargo and returning home, Donnel was nothing short of ecstatic to hear of their heroics. Gwenna and her siblings were allowed to keep their horses - hers a flaxen liver chestnut with white feet. The siblings had bonded, and with newfound mounts found many years of competition in this.

Donnel and Mozu could not possibly love Gwenna more. She was smart, strong, and rational. They couldn't ask for anything more, and when the day came that she decided she wanted to ride past the border, they didn't hesitate.

"Of course you may." they said. "Our little fox can't be kept in a coop."
