In the depths of the Viridian Labyrinth, by the great roots of the Behemoth, Kelkalo was trained in the druidic ways of the Gladekeeper. Like a tree, such training takes many years to properly learn, grow and flourish. Kelkalo was dedicated to his studies but also devoted his time to helping younger students as well. Never shy, he encouraged others to come to him when they needed help, which they often did. He had a well-deserved reputation for being an excellent listener and a wise head, capable of seeing many different sides of an argument and helping individuals see the opposition's side.

After many years of hard work, Kelkalo finally gained the mantle of a true druid of the Gladekeeper. He then promptly joined Wuduweard on one of their visits to the Labyrinth back when the clan was still quite small. He was excited about their mission to travel and honor all different types of nature. Having grown up in the leafy jungles, Kelkalo had learned about other terrains and their nature but hadn't seen them.

Now as one of the earliest members of Wuduweard, Kelkalo is regarded as an important contributor to the clan's life. While he's not a member of the Council, his thoughts and opinions are carefully considered. He is also the official authority on Nature as pertaining to the Gladekeeper. Kelkalo is usually the one that helps non-Nature dragons who join Wuduweard to understand the principals and beliefs of the Nature flight. He assists Ertes in preparing potential recruits to the Gladekeeper as well. While she focuses on the combative aspects, Kelkalo teaches the philosophy.

Kelkalo is the official head of Wuduweard's druids, which has expanded considerably since the clan's return visit to the Viridian Labyrinth. While the rest are part of different disciplines, they recognize Kelkalo as one of the Gladekeeper's druids, the school which is the origin of all other druidic studies. Kelkalo is fascinated by Jedati and Felali and the small seed of the Gladekeeper's power that the two carry within them. Unfortunately, neither are inclined to explain how this happened to Kelkalo and he's too respectful to ask. When Jedati and Felali first joined Wuduweard, Kelkalo deferred to them but it has since become clear that they have no interest in extended socializing or organizing with the druids. He took back up those duties but would immediately follow their wishes if they ever desired to share any.
