""HhhhrUP!” Bermuda triumphantly hoists a heavy barrel over his shoulder, a few tiny hatchlings still clinging to it and the contents shifting precariously inside as he spins to face the amassed gaggle with his iconic wide, toothy grin. “You see, back when I was just a fledgling, I would carry barrels like this every day up the mountainsides,” He tosses the barrel in the air again, landing it and the remaining hatchling on the other shoulder while barely breaking a sweat. “Now, who’d like to hear me recite the Ballad of Cregg the Unkillable again?”"

Bermuda came from the tropical beaches of the Shifting Expanse, traveling to the icy mountains as a child and becoming a confidante to the then-young king. When the princess Cahrid was born, the king’s childhood friend was put in charge of her safety, and when the royal family was attacked he took her and ran, hiding her from the invaders and treating her wounds as best he could. Despite saving Cahrid and bringing her to the safety of the new clan, he feels an incredible amount of guilt over the death of the king, his closest friend.

He is rarely seen far from Cahrid’s side, though occasionally he goes to clan meetings to offer advice to Puff, the clan matron, and be tended to by Grim for his ever-growing list of ailments, despite protesting against the herbs and poultices the whole time. He’s good-natured and outspoken, polite enough for someone raised in court, but often tells bawdy or outlandish tales from his time as the king’s companion, and loves to show off feats of strength while reciting long-winded poetry from his homeland and classical literature.
