"Beams of faint moonlight fell across Grim’s face, glowing softly off of the bone and casting strange misshapen shadows that didn’t all make sense. But his eyes were kind behind their mask - almost sad, even - and when he spoke to Eissu next his voice was as soft as a dark summer night.”

Grim was born where light and shadow met and intermingled in the boundary between the Tangled Wood and the Sunbeam Ruins. His heritage meant that he was often feared and had a hard time finding a place to feel he truly belonged, wandering from clan to clan and learning trades along the way. During his travels he learned much about the local flora and fauna of Sornieth, the powers they held to hurt and heal, and how to use them in combination with his inherent magic to help dragons in need when he ran across the injured, sick, or frail.

Because of his unusual heritage and fear of scaring others, Grim often wears a bone mask and covers much of his skin and body with draped, ragged clothing and tatters he comes across during his visitations and trips. He’s shy because of a life spent on the run and apart from many people, only showing his true self to a select few people and those he trusts implicitly, such as his mate Eissu. Because of this he’s also very sensitive to the needs and insecurities of his patients, and is known to be an especially understanding and kind doctor.
