Brainz

When Clan Nekrós came across Brainz, he was in the middle of fighting the entirety of his own clan. And he was winning. They did not bother to come the his aid, instead, they stood back and watched the bloody, albeit brief battle. Afterwards, they approached him. He turned and snarled, expecting to fight them as well, before he would be allowed to tear into the freshly slain carcasses already making his stomach rumble hungrily.

Much to his surprise, they seemed unperturbed by the sight of him tearing out chunks from his former clan patriarch and gulping them down. One of them, a Wildclaw female, even came over and started feasting on one of the other corpses.

That was when Brainz knew he’d found where he belonged.

He might not be the sharpest Ridgeback to ever walk the Shifting Expanse (his name was actually an ironic nickname, one given to him by a dragon who had learned very early on that he couldn’t best Brainz in combat, and so resorted to verbal mockery instead) but he’s certainly one of the most dangerous. With his long, sharp beak, he can peck right through eyeballs and into brain matter.

Anyone who asks gets told that’s why he is called Brainz. What else would you call someone with a fondness for slurping out brains through eye sockets? After battles, he’s often found cradling skulls in his hands, stirring his snout-beak around inside to mush the brains up into a soft pulp that he can lick out with his tongue. It’s almost like a hummingbird taking nectar from a flower. A really grotesque hummingbird, with an equally grotesque flower.

He also likes to eat the blinded eyes that his lover Meatwad discards.
